We had a pretty good Easter this year. I thought it was funny Kyler had his first Birthday before he had his first Easter. We started the day with church and then came home and found our baskets!! Such a cutie!! This was his basket before we put the eggs in it:) These were the cute frog and turtle eggs we found! I loved them and he sits and just plays with them now. We hid his basket in the corner just peeking out of the couches since he doesn't really understand to look for it. His cute Shirt we got him! This was JJ's basket filled with lots of goodies and a computer game he wanted.
I forgot to take a picture of mine. But since I'm dieting I only wanted one thing which was what JJ got me. It was a Chocolate Cadbury egg that was supposedly filled with the mini eggs. Well when I opened it, it had a whopping 4 eggs in it!! But I guess it was a good thing in a way. LOL Kyler once again got Spoiled, here's his list:

So after we found our baskets and got changed we headed over to JJ's parents. We spent sometime there and then me and Kyler left to go down to my aunt's. My mom's whole family had been begging me for weeks to go down so I made it work. We had a good time down there, she did an egg hunt which was alot of fun even though Kyler was completely lost on what to do. But we had a good visit with everyone. It wasn't a too eventful day but it was fun. We hope everyone had a fun-filled and Safe Easter!!
Last Saturday when I woke up I was greeted by my mom singing a song. The song she was singing I had never heard before, but it was a very lovely one. I giggled and smiled as we headed down the stairs, and though about the things I might do down there. Little did I know my whole day was already planned with lots of fun. As my mom put me down I noticed today was going to be a different one. My toys weren't there but instead giant boxes and bags. I wanted to play with them but I was quickly told I can't. I looked up and then I saw new things on the walls that weren't there before. They were very colorful and two were really big and in between was some sort of banner. I tried to grab for the strings that were hanging down from the colorful things, but I couldn't reach them and I started to scream. Mommy came over and picked me up and said, "its ok my little birthday boy. I didn't know what birthday meant but I decided if it was going to mean days like this I didn't like it then. We then headed up stairs where I got in the bath, and I put on a new shirt and some pants. My mom then put this strange thing on my head, I wasn't sure about it but thought "oh what the heck." We went back down and then there came lots of knocks on the door, all of whom came from all my favorite loved ones. My house was soon filled and the boxes and bags grew to a huge stack. There were more of the colorful things, but these ones weren't tied to the strings, my cousins and I had some fun hitting and bouncing them all around. Until my mom said I think we're ready now. She grabbed me and put me on her lap and gave me one of the boxes to unwrap. I started to tear into the box and found it was filled with some fun. We opened the bags and boxes one by one With each one my eyes filled with joy as I couldn't wait to play with all these toys. When I was done I was put in my high chair as everyone started to stare There was a big cupcake that was put in front of me and everyone started to sing. It was the same song my mom sang that day but this time I realized it sang Happy Birthday. I decided whatever a Birthday was it wasn't to bad. I got new toys and now I got to eat and I wasn't sad. I dived right into that cupcake you see and covered every inch of me. I ate it all up until there was no more and licked my fingers off and begged for some more. I kinda got embarrased because mom put me in the sick and bathed me off in front of everybody. I then got dressed again and headed to say Thanks. Soon everyone left and I started to yawn. And I was left to either sleep or play with my mess. I decided to take a nap and leave mom and dad to clean up the mess. I didn't sleep long, I was to excited and filled with glee. I started to stand and yell till my daddy came and got me. I played with all my new toys until the day was done I got into my pj's and mommy rocked me to sleep while singing the song I had heard twice that day I laid there and listened to the words Happy Birthday I started to dream of all the fun I had and thought how I can't wait have another day like that.

We had a great day on his birthday. We hs both our families over for cake and ice cream and to watch him open his presents. He of course got spoiled. It was so funny watching him eat his cupcake. When we first started to sing he had no idea what to do and then got excited and face planted into it. And he did cover him with it, he was a very dirty boy by the time I got him cleaned off. He was so excited all day, it was the first time in a month and a half he wasn't fussy over his teeth or being sick. I was very happy that he was able to enjoy his birthday without that.

So as you can see he got very very spoiled! We decided to start a College Fund/Trust Fund. for when he gets older. That's where all the money he got will be going:)
Now for the update part. We took him for his shots last monday he is 25lbs. 14oz., 32.2inches, and has a 19 inch head. He's in the 90 percentile for weight, above the 97 percentile for height, and about 95 percentile for his head circumfrance. Its amazing to me how much he has grown this year. He's gained 18lbs. 9oz., grown 11.7 inches, and I don't have his starting head circumfrance. I just can't believe he's grown that much. And yes I will admit I cried like 3 different times on his birthday. But anyways he is still crawling everywhere, and walking along everything too. He has learned how to crawl up the stairs and scares us all the time with it. He tries to balance by himself when stand and takes a few steps by himself so I know any day now he'll be walking. He does patty-cake and itsy bitsy spider on his own, and loves book of mormon stories and popcorn popping. He bangs on everything like its drumbs and also bangs everything together trying to make noise. He still loves any type of music he know how to make all his toys play and knows where the off and on switchs are. He know how to hit the ball on his baseball toy know too and its one of his favorites now. He loves to be outside and go for rides, if he hasn't been out for a few days he gets really fussy until we take him somewhere. And talk about a kid that can eat. He eats ALL day long. If there is something out for him to eat or drink he gets grouchy really fast. He also gives me kisses and hugs every night before bed without even being asked, which is my favorite thing:)

I can't believe my BABY is already ONE!! We love you so much Kyler!! Today has been a fun filled day and its been so fun to watch you open presents and playing with everyone! You have been in such great spirits all day and I am so happy to see you being like that on your special day! This year has been a fun one, to watch you grow and reach new milestones, and to become such a little boy. Again we love you so much and you are our greatest gift and blessing!!
Here are a few of Kyler's 1 Year old pictures! The poor kid hasn't felt well so we only got a couple where he was smiling. I think most of them still turned out cute. These are the ones that are edited so far. His eyes look so blue in alot of them, and its not because they are enhanced (besides the brightness and contrast of the whole picture) I couldn't believe how they looked, he has gorgeous eyes. The middle two of him standing against the bench aren't very good quality, my good camera died so I had to use my other one, so the colored one doesn't look very good but it was such a cute picture of him. We are getting super excited for his B-day to get here! He is also officially CRAWLING!! He started alittle last week and has been doing it more throughout the week. With that has come pulling himself upto everything, which has caused a few falls and bumps. He's a pretty tough guy though, and will usually not even cry. He is so funny when he is ready to go to bed, he'll crawl over to the stairs and waits there. He likes to try and walk up them, he pulls his right leg all the way upto the next step and then I have to help him pull himself to the next one. Its crazy to see him do it, because he gets his leg up so high. I'm hoping he'll start feeling better this week, his cold seems to be getting better just wish those darn teeth would just pop through!! For now that's all:)

So this past Sunday was my and J.J.'s 2 year anniversary! I can't believe its been that long already. We were lucky enough to get away for a night on Friday, and very thankful to my mom for taking Kyler! We stayed at the Little America, which is so beautiful! I couldn't believe how big our room was, and how comfy the bed was. We also got a $60 food credit with our room! And the food is way yummy too. They even had a little bag of goodies waiting in our room for us. It had cookies, chocolates, nuts, fruits and other things in it. Yes, I did splurge this weekend and didn't care about my diet, first time since starting so I figured it was fine!! It was such a great deal for what we paid! I think J.J. already wants to go back, because he keeps hinting about going again or trying to go to the Grand America next year for our anniversary. We tried to go to the hot tub but it was jammed packed, so we got in the pool for a minute until we started to freeze. I cant rave enough about this hotel though!! The picture below is one that is similar to our room. I kept telling myself to take one and never did. So I pulled one off the website. It is pretty much the same as the room we hadWhile we were down there we took the Trax to temple square. It's been along time since I got to just go there to walk around. It was so nice, and the weather was perfect. JJ I don't think had ever walked around down there much because he hadn't seen alot of the monuments, and things down there. It was fun to walk around with him and to explain to him what they were. We weren't able to make it to a session but even walking around the ground we could feel the spirit. It was so much fun and such a great experience.
Something neither one of us had seen was the new display of the Temple in the South visiting center. It was so cool, and the screens that would show you pictures of each room and explain what they were!! I have never done a session there so it was awesome to see what some of the rooms look like. I so want to go do one now!! As we were looking at it we had a man that was a senior missionary come upto us and tell us we should go look at the side monitors because that showed the sealing rooms were couples are married and that is something really special and neat to see. So we guessed he didn't think we were members or that we were married. It took us by surprise and we didn't know what to say before he walked off. But we had a good laugh about it.
As we were looking at a few of the other things we had a companionship of sister missionaries come upto us. We made sure to let them know we were members of the church. We had a really good talk to them about missionary work and the great blessings of the temples. When we left there we started talking about our wedding day, and it was great to think back to that day and all the things that happened. We then hopped back on Trax and went down to the Gateway and did a little shopping. I was happy because JJ finally let me buy him new shirts for spring. He never lets me buy him anything! Saturday we just got ready and came home. Kyler was getting sick when we left Friday and had a rough night at my moms, so we decided to get back to get him. He still has a bad cold, and I wish those darn teeth would just come in already!! He however is climbing up things like crazy, and has been trying to crawl the normal way. We have everything ready for his Birthday I believe, just waiting for some of the balloons to get here in the mail, and get his pictures taken. I'm so excited for it!!
Only 24 days and my Ky-Ky will be a year old!! It's so crazy to think about. This past month has sure been a busy one and I'm sure this one will be just as busy. Kyler is starting to be alot more active as well! He seems to be all over the place, even though he's not walking. He tries his hardest to climb up things but doesn't ave it down quite yet. His balance is also getting better, I think he'll be running before walking because he just wants to go..go..go. So this mommy is going to have a very active and busy summer. But I'm excited for it!! He is still trying to get those darn molars in! The past 3 days haven't been as bad but all last week was rough. I wish they'd just pop through already! We have also come to the conclusion he isn't going to have much patience:S If he can't get something to work the way he wants it he'll just hit it, and then try again, and hit it again. Or he'll just throw a fit! He has been starting to get bashful too. Its so funny because he never has been, and now he is to everyone. That is, he will be for a minute and then he wants to get everyones attention. This happens in the store quite often. He'll sit and stare at someone to try and get their attention and then turn and dunk his head and then start jabbering at them, its hilarious!! He loves all his stuffed animals too! He will crawl over to one of them and love on them. His turtle is still his favorite and has to have it to go to bed. He also will shack his head as he dances, but as done it a few other times like when I ask him if he loves me, or if we need to change his bum or if we should go somewhere. I don't really know if he understands he's shaking it no or not. Yesterday I did ask him if we needed to change his diaper and both me and JJ thought he said NO! He is starting to get such a big personality! The poor little guy got sick yesterday and started throwing up while we were at Sizzler. I think he must have eaten something that didn't agree well with him because it only lasted about an hour and a half and just wanted to play after he would. Now he has a horrible cold though! We are very excited for his birthday, even though it makes me sad alittle. We are getting everything ready and decorations picked out, we've had his presents for a month or so. I can't wait to see him that day. And we will be getting his year old pictures done when the weather cooperates and he's feeling better!
