Happy Halloween!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!! We had a very long but fun one! We met up with our friends Ashlee and Rondey and their little girl Ava at the mall in Logan to go trick-or-treating there this afternoon. Ava is just a little doll! She was a bumble bee and just looked absolutely adorable! Both Kyler and her loved going and picking out what candy they wanted from each store and running around in the mall. I really liked how they did the trick-or-treat there and think it maybe something we go to from now on. Here is a few pictures of them when we were getting ready to leave. Kyler was to busy dancing and watching people walk by so he wouldn't let me get a good picture of them both.

We ran to walmart while we were over there and then came home and let J.J. get in his costume and got ready to go out and see family and do more trick-or-treating. We were, Captain Hook(me) Smee(J.J.) and then Kyler was a crocodile. We decided to dress-up because we thought it would be fun for Kyler, and he did like trying to rip off my hat or J.J.'s bandanna. He wouldn't wear his hood at all, but he still looked cute. We mostly went trick-or-treating over in Fredal Heights, since we lived in that ward for awhile and know alot of the people. They were very generous with the candy! Kyler would get 2 or 3 pieces from most the houses. He was funny because he would sit and decide what one he wanted and then throw it in his bag and then give the people a big smile and then point to the next house. We ended up with alot of Kit-Kats, Butterfingers, and Suckers...you can tell he's his mommy's child lol. Here's some pictures of us.

^^flash decided to go off lol, it was the best picture of Kyler

^^I love Kylers face in this one

^^He filled his bag up!

Once we got home we had 1 trick-or-treater come to our door lol she did tell me she liked my decorations so I gave her a couple treats:) Then after I put Kyler to bed I took down the decorations, I'm still not use to my door not having caution tape on it lol. I can't believe in a month I'll have my Christmas decor out YAY!! Anyways that was our Halloween.

Potty Training Day 1 = Success!!

I've always been told boys take longer than girls to potty train and that they usually don't show interest in it till 2 1/2 or 3 years old. But knowing we will be hopefully having another baby by the time he's 3 I want to get him potty trained by then. I decided just to start out slow..just having a couple hours out of the day were he runs around naked and getting him use to sitting on the seat. So today that's what we did and I would give him a Smartee when he would sit on his potty after a few time I noticed the potty was singing(Its the fisher-price cheer for me potty-it only sings when they either go potty or put toilet paper in it)I looked in it and sure enough he had went!! I was so excited which made him excited. We then flushed it in the big potty and he didn't like that very much. He then ran back and got on the seat again but after about five minutes decided he wanted to play, so we put a diaper back on him. We still have a long way to go, but I figure as long as we do it a little bit at a time he'll hopefully get use to it after a few months:) I'll update about how its going every so often, and next time I'll hopefully have some pictures today I was just so excited I wasn't thinking about it lol.

My Handsome Crocodile

This is just a preview of Kyler's Costume there will be more to come on Monday with all of us dressed up...which will explain why he's a crocodile...but wanted to share these pictures I snapped after we went to the Commerce Trick-or-Treating they had in town today.

Playing

My friend Ashlee ask me to tend her little girl today...she is such a doll!! I think Kyler liked having someone to play with too. I put Tangled on and they both were glued to it and would start dancing during the songs. Other than that they just played with toys the while time and would jabber to each other. By ther time Ashlee came to get her, she was pretty much saying Ky-Ky because I had said it so much lol. Here are some pictures of them from today:)

Halloween Jammies

These are from my cell phone so they aren't the best quality but he's just so cute!! I found these pj's on diapers.com and they were on sale so I bought them. When we got them today he came over and grabbed them from me and just looked at them for awhile and then started to try to put the pants on. So he wore them most of the day! We were looking at pictures of him from last year and I can't believe the difference...he's so much bigger and just such a little boy instead of a baby makes me sad but happy at the same time!

^^He doesn't stay still for anything!

^^His scrunchy face again lol

^^Don't mind the messy hair we had just gotten back from going on a walk

Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins tonight and these were the results! J.J.'s is the one on the right and mine is on the left. Neither one of us have carved pumpkins since we dated so I though we did pretty good. We didn't have Kyler do one since ever time we have tried to let him paint he tries to eat it. Hopefully by next year he'll be better!

Christmas Budget/Deals

I've had a few friends and family members ask me how much we are spending on Kyler for Christmas and what we are getting him for a Christmas. So I figured I'd answer those questions here.
Last year we decided that for Christmas/Birthdays for all of our kids (Kyler/our hopefully future kids) we would only spend $100 Maximum! If we felt like we had enough for them before we reached $100 then that would be awesome.
Now Kyler has a ton of toys from last Christmas and his Birthday...in my mind way to many! I know now we over did it, I forgot about having grandparents and aunts and uncles give him things. So this year we knew we weren't going to buy him as many. He has out grown some of them so some of what we got him this year are the next stage up.
Ebay has been an amazing place for us this year! We have gotten so many awesome deals from there, especially since everything we have gotten is brand new:)
Since Kyler won't be able to see this and know what exactly we got him and its not like he'd even care if he did lol, I'll now post a list of what we have for him.

That's a savings of $373.46:)

This mom is very very happy with that:):) we still need to get a few things for his stocking but that will probably only be a few dollars since a few of the movies will be in there. The broom and vacuum we purely got him because he is always getting or trying to get ours out so we thought maybe if he has his own he'll hopefully like them better. He is a bit of a clean freak already, which I LOVE!!

Of course to get the ebay deals there were some nights I had to stay up into the wee hours of the morning in a bidding war but when you are trying to get an item that's almost $60 cheaper, you can't blame a person! And the Walmart Clearance Items we found in the Harrisville Walmart on our way home from Ogden one day, we usually never stop at that one but I was so glad we did!

As far as the rest of our Christmas, I will say I think both me and J.J. will have a good one. I know for a fact I will...he tries to be sneaky, but when he sleeps all day and I get the door/mail I tend to find out what he's ordered lol. I'm way excited about what I've gotten him since he doesn't have a clue and I know he'll love it! And since I know he might see this I can't say what I got him.

I am so ready for it to be Christmas! Its already cold to me so its like lets get winter going already! That and since Kyler is older I think he will enjoy it alot more this year and I can't wait to see him that morning:) ugh so much excitement!! But I hope for those who have asked this will answer your questions.

New Favorite Mom Quote

"You think that true love is the only thing that can crush your heart; that will take your life and light it up or destroy it. Then you become a mother."

Fun In The Kitchen

Yesterday while we were in walmart J.J. decided he wanted a cake, so I decided to bake one for him. I've been wanting to try out a fondant recipe a friend gave me and start trying to get better at it. Today after I got home from going to dinner at my mom's I decided to go in and start baking! Kyler wanted to get into everything so I decided I would first bake some cookies so he could decorate/eat them while I did the cake and fondant. He was so thrilled to be able to have something to do to. He of course made a mess but it was so cute and he was on a bit of a sugar high for awhile after! Here are some pictures of him decorating/eating the cookies.

He was more into eating them and the frosting more than decorating them.

My Poor Attempt! I couldn't find all my frosting coloring gels or my rolling pin so this was the best I could do with what I had lol.
The rest of the cookies...again couldn't find my colors so we had to settle with orange and sprinkles.
This is Kyler in his new hat. He usually won't wear anything on his head but he wore it for awhile tonight and I was able to snap a couple pictures of it.

Sneak Peeks:)

So we had our family pictures done today! They turned out great. I'm so grateful to our photographer, we've used her for Kyler's newborn pictures and or family pictures last year and she does such an awesome job!! She does a special in October for $50 for a family shoot. I'm sad though because she is moving to Provo once they get their house sold. But she was wonderful with Kyler! All he wanted to do was explore the campground area we went to and she was still able to get some good pictures of him. I am so pleased with how they turned out at least with the ones I have seen:) Here's a Sneek Peek of them I'll post more when I get the CD.
