PreSchool Art

I've been loving getting Kyler's art work from preschool! He is always excited to go to school now and will go right in without an crying, his mom on the other hand still cries on the way home. The past couple times he has went he has brought home these home... I really have liked how they do things at this preschool. They always have a theme for each day that usually goes with some sort of story. Kyler seems to really like it too, he kept showing me today where they went on their bear hunt.

I am so glad he has been enjoying it and getting use to the idea of it. I still can't believe he is going to preschool. The house fells really empty when he isn't home!

Me Update

....and hopefully the last one for awhile!!!

Blood: still considered anemic, but levels are stabilized and rising...just slowly.

Thyroid: number is still a little high, so we upped the meds a little will go in a couple months and see what it is then. Hoping between 1-2 by then!!

VitaminD: levels are still low, will continue to take supplements.

Back: I hit my back hard on a seat the other night and ever since it has been feeling better! Still not 100% but not hurting near as bad...Yay for not needing a MRI!

Menstrual issues: Have PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome). On a medication to try and help my body lower my insulin levels which can help. That and trying to get more exercise and eating right.

**because of the thyroid issues and PCOS at a higher risk for Diabetis....YUCK!!

THAT IS ALL!! *SMH*
with a total of 9 pills a day that all have to be taken at different times so they don't interfere with each other. Such fun....not.

When I first started dealing with my thyroid I did a lot of research and found there was a list of Foods to avoid. I was also looking at what is suggested with PCOS and one thing was similar..... So I am now going to try and go Gluten Free!! Thankfully there are plenty of things that I already eat that are gluten free. I will admit it is going to be a struggle to cut out bread! I do have a mix for a GF one but not getting my hopes up that it'll taste the same.

I'm hoping I can get use to this lifestyle, because let's face it, its either this or diabetes and I don't want that!!

I have been feeling a little better the past couple of days. I think mostly to my back feeling better and the warmer weather. Still get tired easily, but have been able to get a walk in the past 3 days and hoping I can keep that going!

I was relieved with some of this news. PCOS can be tricky and frustrating if you can't get it under control, but it's a lot better than having your own immune system attacking your tissue and making your uterus toxic. So some of my worries were wiped away with the news. We are still planning on having a couple more kids and I was terrified my body would just attack it if my hypothyroid was caused by an auto-immune disease. Thankfully that's not the case. We do need to get my thyroid level to a 1 before we decide to try again, because not having enough hormone and with all the other things I have can cause problems.

Trying for another baby is still a little ways down the road, but it's nice to know if I do everything right when the time comes we should be able to conceive. And for that I am very grateful!! JJ has been on a kick lately about baby names and babies, I think because 2 of his sisters are due in the next few weeks. But him talking about babies all the time is why I think all of this as been on my mind so much. Thankfully we have some answers and I can start working on getting these problems under control!

2 For 1

This poor little guy is sick! First time he has actually been sick. He has not let me put him down and is so miserable. I feel so bad, hoping the medicine will help him soon. Ear infections are not fun!

And for the second part of the post...

We once again had to rearrange our vacation plans!

But in a way its ok. JJ applied to the supervisor position for his shift, he didn't get the job, but they are still training him for it so he can fill in when he is needed and most likely will get a supervisor job when there is an opening. He has also put in for a few other jobs that we are still waiting to hear on.

His supervisor decided to take the week before Memorial Day off so we now had to reschedule some of our trip. We are still going to San Diego so we will be gone the 26-31. But no Disneyland this time:/

We are thinking of going to Disneyland over Halloween though, we have bought some tickets and things that aren't refundable and neither one of us want to waste that money so we are going to try and save enough to go in October. Which I think will be really fun!

So now we get 2 vacations instead of one really long one. I think we will actually enjoy it more since it won't seem so rushed and hopefully the crowds won't be as bad.

I'm really looking forward to both of them...just hoping we will all be healthy by then!

Tired

*Warning*
This post will probably sound like I'm complaining a lot.  So if you don't want to hear it stop reading!

I'm so tired!

 physically, emotionally, and mentally.

But most of all I'm so tired of having something wrong with me.

I know I have a lot to be grateful for and I am.  It's just when you wake up in the morning and immediately want to cry because you hurt so bad it gets to be hard,  and then when all the other health issues and stress from it all surfaces it makes me not even want to get out of bed and deal with any of it.

I guess I should explain more on what's going on. We all know I've dealt with blood issues which thankfully are resolved,  then I was told I'm Hypothyroid, then deficient in VitaminD. Well last week two more issues presented themselves.

First off my back is killing me,  I can't bend, sit, really anything without being in pain. Now the doctors think I may have a herniated disk.

The other problem has been something I've been worried about for a couple of months. TMI ahead. My menstral cycle has been missing for 5 months now.  At first I didn't worry much because it's something that could happen with the thyroid.  But I've been on medicine for 3 months and still nothing.  The doctors are waiting on test to see if it's something else causing it or if it just needs a kick start. I'm hoping it's the latter because some of the things that could be causing it really scare me and could lead to infertility problems.

There has also been a lot of family issues lately that have been affecting me emotionally and mentally and everything is just taking every bit of energy I have.  Our vacation can't come soon enough!

I'm really hoping sometime soon I'll be back to my normal.  I keep telling JJ I'm not going to live to be over 40 at this rate,  and honestly there are days I don't know if I'll make it to see 25. I just want to feel better so I can do everything I can to live as long as I can for my boys.

Sorry for complaining just frustrated at the moment.

First Day Of Preschool...........kinda

We found out that the Early Childhood Center in Corinne has a program for kids who struggle with speech problems. We went in last week to have Kyler do some testing, but him being in a grumpy mood wouldn't have it. So they told us what they could do is have him come in a couple times a week to one of the classes and observe him that way.
Today was our first day, and lets just say both me and him had a hard time! I thought it would be like taking him to nursery and he would just run right in with no problem, instead it was the complete opposite. We got to the classroom and he immediately grabbed onto me, wouldn't let go, and would scream any time I tried to put him down.
The teachers were very nice and told me it was ok if I left even with him crying, they were use to kids doing that and that he would be ok. If he didn't stop with in a few minutes they would call me. So has hard as it was to leave him I walked out of the room and down the hall just a little bit so I was still in hearing range. Within a minute he had stopped crying and was doing fine! We then headed out of the school and I started bawling, he shouldn't be old enough to go school yet!
We went back 2.5 hours later and picked him up. The teacher said he did great and got along with all the other kid, including the little girl in the class who's name is Kyler also. He didn't talk though while he was there, so we will be going back twice next week. We are hoping that by next Friday he will be comfortable enough to do the assessment so we know what our next steps are.

*He was kinda grumpy while I was trying to get pictures so I never did get a really good one of him.

I just can't believe it has been 3 years since we welcomed this handsome boy into our lives! We love him so much and he has become such an awesome little boy. He can test our patience to the max but as soon as he gives us a hug its all worth it! He has changed our lives and makes everyday so much fun. I love the example he is to me to, even at 3 years old he is an example to me. We love him more and more each day, even though it doesn't seem like I could love him anymore than I all ready do. We are so very grateful and feel so blessed to have him as our son, and that our Heavenly Father and Savior trusted us enough with him. We love him more than he will ever know, and I just hope this year will go by slower than the last 3!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KYLER!

Arm Update

This morning our doctor called saying the radiologist he had look at Kyler's X-rays questioned whether the crack would be considered a facture or not. So they sent us to an Orthopedic doctor to look at it. After looking at the films and feeling around his arm he decided we need to cast it. Where its so close to a joint and growth plate and since Ky is so young he didn't want to chance it getting worse.

Kyler didn't want to sit there while they put the cast on, thus the picture on left! Thankfully he didn't mind it has much once we got home. We go back in 3 1/2 weeks to see if it has healed. But for now we get to deal with all the fun that comes with a cast! *sarcasm

Zoo Playdate for Kyler Birthday

Today we went to the Hogle Zoo with my friend Ashlee and her kids to celebrate Kyler's birthday.

We all had a blast! Especially Kyler and Ava. They didn't want to be in the strollers much and would walk/run all around. They loved seeing all the animals. Kyler's favorites were the Otters and Bears, Ava's were the Giraffes and Gorillas. It was so fun seeing their faces light up every time they saw a new animal.

Here are some pictures from our day...
(I'm so tired that I didn't edit any of these beside putting them in the collages, so there are some that are really bright or dark.)
A few of the animals we saw.

Playing with the Big Elephant, we were lucky to pull them away from it.

Middle pictures is all the kids, the others are just Kyler and Ava they are sure becoming Best Friends!

Yes the top right picture is Kyler trying to pick he Polar Bears Nose, Silly Boy! And just some other cute shots.

Riding the Carousal, I was trying to hold on to both of them so these ones really weren't that great, but they both had to ride on the Giraffes.

On our way out of the Zoo they got to pick a toy from the gift shop. I didn't get a picture of Ava with her cute pink tiger, but below is Kyler with his Weasel Ball that has entertained him all night!
 (Don't mind the mess!)

After the Zoo we stopped at Mcdonald's to eat and they got IceCream Cones too.

It was such a fun day. I'm so happy we ended up going to the zoo. Our other plans fell through due to Kyler hurting his arm, but this turned out  to be a lot of fun!

The picture below makes me cry! I can't believe how much he has grown! Sure do love him so much!! Four more days and he will be 3!

It Was Bound To Happen

Even though I was hoping we wouldn't have to deal with anything like this for a few years!

Our family just didn't have a good day today. By noon we had agreed we were staying home and not going anywhere else for the day.

Earlier we had went down to Walmart to get Kyler a bike for his birthday. We pulled out the one we got him last year(12") and he was to big for it. So since his birthday is next week we decided we would get him one. After awhile of dealing with a grouchy boy we finally had the bike picked out that had Lightning Mcqueen on it(16") and started home. After that was when we decided to stay home for the rest of the day.

I was in our room reading and JJ was down stairs with Xander, and Kyler was everywhere. I knew he was up stairs but thought he was in his room not the other one where all his presents are. Pretty soon screams of bloody murder came from him and I ran in to see what had happened. He had gotten on the bike and fell off of it and tipped the bike on him in the process. He kept holding his left wrist and I instantly got worried. I tried to feel it to see if it was broken but he would scream any time I tried to touch him. Soon we saw some swelling starting around his elbow. We decided he needed to be checked out. Thankfully our doctor here in town was able to fit us in so we didn't have to go to the ER!

Once at the doctors they checked his arm and wanted to do a X-ray. Kyler was not a happy camper through any of it! But once he saw the X-rays he thought they were pretty cool! You can't really see it in the picture, but there is a small crack in his bone. It wasn't very big so the doctor decided to put him in a splint an sling. He is going to check with a Radiologist in the morning to make sure it doesn't need to be casted.
Kyler was not a fan of the splint or sling at first but through out the night has gotten use to it. Once the pain medicine kicked in he was such a happy boy an kept giving us hugs!

He will be in the splint for about a week as long as he can straighten his elbow when we take it off. But we are having to rearrange things for his birthday, we'll still make it fun though!

This was not an fun experience at all! I did pretty well holding back the tears until after we got home from the doctors, I didn't want to freak him out anymore than he already was. I hope and wish we don't ever have to go through it again but to be realistic we probably will.

General Conference

These are some quotes from General Conference this weekend that I really liked. There were plenty more though.
I always feel so inspired and blessed after Conference. Its such a blessing to be able to hear from our Prophet and the leaders of the church, especially with the world we live in. There were many of the talks that seemed like they were just for me and what I needed to hear. I am so thankful to have the gospel in my life and that we have the blessing of living Prophets here on the earth and to know they are leading and telling us the things our Heavenly Father and Savior want for us.
