My Little Monster

Xander has started to growl and blow raspberries all the time now! It is so cute and we love how vocal he is. He is starting to get such a cute little personality.

He does get alittle camera shy though, but here is alittle of my growling little monster.

Sure do love his little face!!

Random Pictures

These are just a couple pictures of my phone from the pasr little while.

This was after the big snow storm we got. Kyler was brave and would just start walking through it. He got stuck a few times because it was just to deep.

Just cute little Xander

Kyler with his suit coat on, such a silly little boy.

Work-a-holic

Ok well maybe I exaggerated a bit, but this guy has been working a ton lately! Which is making us miss him...Kyler especially!
He loves his daddy so much. Most days he'll go down for a nap before JJ leaves for work, so when he wakes up daddy is gone and then when he wakes up in the morning daddy is already asleep. So he really only gets to see him for a few minutes a day. He is constantly pointing at our pictures at pointing to daddy, or trying to call him on my phone, or if he hasn't noticed JJ has left he will call for him until he realizes he is at work. It is so cute to see how much he loves his daddy, and the smile he gets on his face when he sees JJ.
We do miss him alot when he's working but that makes us appreciate the days he has off even more!
I can't express how grateful I am to have such a hard working husband! He's been working most of the over time just to make sure we can go do things and make our vacation really fun. I'm so thankful for everything he does for us. I know he is exhausted most days and would rather sleep but he makes sure to spend time with us everyday. I just love him!

Xander At 7 Months

Xander At 7 Months Is:

29.2 inches tall

18 pounds 15 ounces

Sits up by himself

Rolls over but doesn't like being on his belly

Very ticklish and loves to be tickled

Tries to mimic sounds or words you make at him, he pretty much says hey/hi

Loves paper that crinkles and things that rattle

Favorite foods are banana's, berry melody, sweet potatoes, and peas

Likes watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and the Cars movies...mostly due to Kyler loving them too

Loves to go on rides and being in the car

Still trying to cut his teeth, his poor gums are so swollen right now I hope they will come through soon

Will give kisses to you,  they are opened mouth slobbery ones!

Still such a happy and loving little guy!

Valentine's Day

Our Valentine's Day this year was pretty low key. JJ has worked everyday this week except for today, so we didn't plan on doing much. He was so nice and got up with the kids and let me sleep in which in itself was a wonderful present since I don't sleep very well. When I walked out into the kitchen I was greeted by this...

We had gotten the things for the boys together but I was surprised with the flowers. We had went shopping last week came home with a new 50" tv and new laptop which we decided would be our Valentine's/anniversary presents, so I was very surprised by the flowers. The boys got me a rose plant that we can plant in our flower bed this spring (That's if I can keep it alive for that long) and also some chocolates. I didn't get a picture of what the boys gave JJ because he had it opened and eaten before I could snap a picture.

After we got ready for the day, which I'm a little embarrassed to say was around 2:30, we decided to go get some grocery shopping done. While we were out we asked Kyler what he wanted to eat, thinking he'd say "hamburgers" since he's gotten that word down pretty good, but he actually said "izza". So we stopped at Pizza Hut and ate. Poor Xander just staired at us the whole time, he has gotten the puppy dog eyes thing down pretty good already. I can't wait till he is able to eat right along with us! We then stopped by grandma and grandpa's for a minute and then headed home. Where everyone but myself fell asleep within a half an hour.

I'm so thankful for my three guys!

They are my everything! I don't know how they put up with me sometimes, especially JJ, but I sure love them for it. They know exactly what to do to make me smile and get me laughing even if I'm not really in the mood to. I can't express how grateful I am for each one of them, and how much I love them.
-and yes kyler is wearing a suit coat with pajamas, we were getting ready to go and told him to grab his coat so we could go to grandma's and he grabbed the suit coat that my aunt handmedowned to us, and wouldn't put anything else on. He then went around saying "I ook ice" (I look nice). We are hearing more and more from him, which is making me so excited and yet very nervous for the things he will say!

What's The Matter With Me?

That's the question I've been asking myself for a few months now.

After having Xander I've never felt like I have been myself. At first I just thought it was all the postpartum hormones and changes your body goes through. I remember going to the doctor after 6 weeks and hoping I'd finally be able to get back to exercising and maybe that would help me feel better. The day after I had Xander the doctor told me my blood count was extremely low and if it didn't come up I wouldn't be able to go home for a few days and could possibly need a transfusion. The next day it was still low but in the normal range so they let me go. When I went in at 6 weeks postpartum they tested me again to make sure it was still normal, and it wasn't! So they just started me on iron supplements and told me to take it easy. Then I would go in every month and they'd test my blood count. It got really low in October and I ended up having a transfusion. I felt great afterwards and even started to exercise, it was short lived though. Any time I worked out I was completely exhausted for days after. I just didn't get it!

I had already gained weight, which I so wasn't happy with. Then the holidays hit and I gained even more. It was frustrating to me because I was still watching what I ate and yet the weight still piled on. I had lost a good amount of weight prior to having Xander and I would get so mad seeing almost all of it creeping back.

The doctor had me go in right after Christmas to make sure my count was still up. And again it was really low. So I had another transfusion. They also did a number of ultrasounds, x-rays, and a CTscan to see if I had any internally bleeding, but nothing turned up. I again felt better after the transfusion. Made sure to just rest and eat as much iron rich foods as I could. Finally this month my count is normal!!

However, I've still been extremely tried and not feeling like myself. It then dawned on my doctor to check my hormone levels. That wouldn't really effect my blood issue, but it could be whats causing all the other symptoms.

So they took my blood yet again, but this time I got some answers! I have hypothyroidism and most of my other hormone levels are not normal. So they wanted to start me on thyroid medication and birth control. Well I turn into the devil on birth control so I said no to that, but if my hormones don't go back to normal after being on the thyroid meds and trying to lose weight I'll go on it.

It's very weird to me to think I'm only 23 and will have to be on thyroid meds for the rest of my life to keep my body normal. I am thankful to finally know what has been making me feel so crappy though.

I've only been on the medication for a day so I haven't noticed any changes yet but am hoping it will help soon. Once we know if my blood count is stablizing I will start working out again. Let's hope my test next week goes well! My friends from MFP I promise to be back to my kicking butt self soon.

Little Devil

I really don't want to call my child the devil, but honestly I don't know what has gotten into this little stinker the last couple of weeks!

Shopping is a nightmare with him.
He throws tantrums about every 5 minutes.
Will scream and yell for no reason.
Hits and throws things all the time!

I love him so much, but he is driving me a little crazy.

Just a few stories that have happened lately to go with his attitude:

Yesterday I went to get him out of nursery and he threw a block at me because he didn't want to leave! He was very lucky we were at church!

When we go shopping he thinks he needs to get everything and will put it in the cart, and then throw a fit when we take it out and put it back. He also won't sit in the cart anymore and will try to run away if he's mad.

Started cussing the cashier lady at Wal-Mart because she put his drink in a bag.

I sure hope he gets over whatever it is soon!!

Valentine's Party

The Guest:

The Setup:

 Just Having Fun:

We had a lot of fun at our Valentine Party this past Friday! I was so glad that Donna. Khloe, Ashlee, Ava and Little Rodney were able to come. The kids were so cute together and just had fun eating all the treats, playing together, and watching PeterPan. Its so fun to see all their little personalities.
The moms enjoyed getting to chat and just laughing at the kids!

I love being able to have the kids get together and come play!
I can't wait to do it again!

These ones where just funny to me because they were next to each other on my camera, and it made me laugh that they are doing the samething with the same expression!

Private For Good

During the past month or so I've gotten a number of comments from spammers, people wanting more information on our family,  and just some plain creepers. So to make sure my family is safe and not exposed in ways we aren't aware of I will be making this blog private. I think I have most of people's email addresses that actually visit our blog regularly,  but if you aren't sure leave a comment here, on facebook, or MFP.
We hope you will still keep up with us!
With much love,

Dang it!

Is what Kyler would say over and over again tonight while watching the Superbowl. Mom on the other hand said a few other choice words while watching it. We are big 49er fans, and watching them struggle in the beginning, then watching them come back and losing by only 3 in the last minute of the game was heartbreaking. But we will be good sports and congratulate the Baltimore Ravens and their fans on their win tonight!
I find it so funny how Kyler will hardly sit and watch cartoons or movies but if there is a football or basketball game on he is glued to the tv. And will usually cheer for both sides unless he knows we like one of the teams or if he likes their uniforms then he just cheers for the one. It's so much fun to watch him becoming more and more of a little boy and such a sports enthusiast. I think Xander will be right along with him when be gets a little older. He was all excited watching the game tonight and we even got him to clap for the first time! He wasn't to fond of the end result though...
