Christmas Bucketlist Completions part 1

These are the things we've completed from our Christmas Bucketlist so far..

We had gotten Kyler a little tree he got to decorate. He did such a good job decorating it! We also decorated the big tree as you can see in our past posts.

Our New Traditions this year were Elf On The Shelf, and a not so new one for me but for our little family is a book of Christmas stories that my grandma put together years ago. This book actually belonged to my Great-Grandma, but I was given to me this year to start reading the stories to my boys. There is a story for each day in December.

A few weeks ago my moms friend had put together the Jubilee of Trees here in town. They had Santa and Mrs. Claus there so we took the boys to see them. Kyler wouldn't really look at the camera but he liked Santa after he gave him a candy cane. Xander was so good and just sat there and was happy.

This year we got Xander's First Christmas ornament and a new family one!

My mom always got a new nativity each year this has been something I like to do know too. So this was the one we got this year.

Today we sat down and wrote letters to Santa to send with Noelle Sparkle tonight. Kyler actually did pretty good at telling me what he wanted. He drew a picture on the back of his letter for Santa to.

I don't have a picture of this one...but we went threw all our clothes and took all our old coats that were still in good condition and donated them to the Warm Hearts Coat Drive. We are using that as our giving to someone in need this year.

That's what we have completed so far...we have alot of the others planned out just waiting for December to get here!!

Our Elf Has Arrived...and Our First North Pole Breakfast!

Our Elf has arrived!! She brought a big North Pole Breakfast and a present for each boy with her!
Her arrival! The Breakfast included; Christmas Tree and Santa Brownies, Rudolf and Snow Covered Donuts, Frosty and Santa Mickey Sugar Cookies, Candy Canes and Mints, and Glacier Floating Hot Chocolate.

JJ read The Elf On The Shelf story while we ate...after which Kyler got to pick out her Name out of a bowl full of different names. Her name is Noelle Sparkle!

Kyler loved it! Especially eating all the goodies.

Xander enjoyed watching...it'll be even more fun next year when he can enjoy it more.

Opening their presents....New Winter Coats!

With their letters from Noelle Sparkle...Kyler was to busy eating to put on his coat.

It was such a fun morning!! I'm so glad we got to start this new tradition! It was so fun to see Kyler's face through out it all. He will now point to Noelle Sparkle whenever he sees her. Now we get to look forward to finding what she has been up to each morning it should be fun!!

Xander at 4 Months!

Xander At 4 Months:
Weighs 16 pounds 8 ounces.

Is 27 inches tall.

Has a head circumference of 17.25 inches.

Is very very vocal and is always jabbering and grawling.

Loves to watch Kyler play and gets so excited when Kyler is around him.

Is just so sweet! I've honestly never met a baby that is as happy as he is all the time.

Recognizes his name, and will look at you when you say it.

Finally sleeping through the night. He usually would wake up around 2am to eat but he hasn't for about a week.

It feels like he is eating constantly, we get to start him on baby food now so I'm excited to see how he does with it.

Loves to chew on his hands!

Has found his feet and loves to grab them and pull them up to his face.

Starting to giggle more and more...especially at Kyler and Daddy.

Has started to rub his eyes when he is tried or if the sun is shining to bright in the mornings he puts his arm over his eyes..this is something I just think is so cute!

Loves to be sitting up and getting better at doing it by himself all the time.

Still working on rolling over..he does really good at getting to his sides but not quite all the way over yet.

We sure love him, and are so very grateful he has been so healthy and happy and that he is growing so well. I just wish time would slow down it seems to be going so fast.

Random Pictures

These are just some pictures off of my phone over the past few weeks
He is such a monster...he had woke up one night and this was how he woke me up!!

He is just such a cutie!!

We had made brownies the other day and the frosting was left on the counter...as you can see he got ahold of it and started to eat it out of the tub.

Just enjoying his crib

Such a protective big brother!

Playing with his towel after his bath.

While we were taking them he got tired and fell asleep...he's just so darn cute!! I will post in a couple days about how he's growing and everything he's doing, but for now I just wanted to post these.

Thankful Thoughts 2

Here are the things I'm thankful for this week...

1.The Gospel. I'm so very grateful to have it in my life and to know the truth and comfort that comes with it. I don't know where I'd be that without it and the Savior.
2. Days out of the House. This can include shopping, going to the park, or just going out to eat. We always have fun taking the kids out especially to new places.
3. Our Bed. I've been sick on and off this week with alot of the days just laying in bed sleeping.
4. Talents. I love being able to make and do new things with the talents I've been blessed with.
5. Warm Clothes. For those freezing could days!
6. Friends. I've been blessed with some great friends both that live close and far from me. I appreciate having such awesome friends and for them putting up with me.
7. My Hubby's Job. I'm thankful he has a job that is enough to provide for us and that he actually likes it.

That's this weeks even though there are plenty more I could list!

Comparison

I have such cute little boys...I just can't believe how different they look!! Kyler was 6 months in these pictures and Xander is 3 months in his. I didn't think it was possible to have a baby grow faster than Kyler did, but Xander as you can see fits into the clothes Kyler wore at six months! It's crazy to me how they can be almost polar opposites...Kyler has always been so light with his fair skin, blonde hair and blue eyes and then there is Xander who has more of an olive complex with brown hair and darker eyes, though we can't decide if they are actually going to go brown or not.
Not only are their looks different but how they act is to. Alot of that being Kyler is just a total monster and then Xander is just so sweet. He might grow out of that since Kyler was alot mellower as a baby. Xander will not take a binky where Kyler loved them! And I don't know if it's do to with that but Xander seems so much more vocal than Kyler was, he is constantly cooing or grawling. They both have always liked to sleep in their own beds, but still like to cuddle. Both have always loved their faces rubbed and to have lullabies sung to them.
It's so fun to think back to when Kyler was a baby and remember things about him and then to see some of the same things going on with Xander, but to also see new things with him as well.
I just love these two little guys so much, and just can't imagine my life without them!! Watching them grow closer and to see how much they love each other already just makes my heart melt. We've been really lucky because Kyler hasn't really ever been jealous and has always loved and cared about Xander. He already tries to share his toys with him and is always trying to entertain Xander.
I just am so in love with them both and so thankful I get to be their mom!

Family Pictures 2012

I was so pleased with how these turned out! Especially since Kyler had been a monster during them. But anyways this post is horribly long so I won't talk much....
