2 years of married Bliss

So this past Sunday was my and J.J.'s 2 year anniversary! I can't believe its been that long already. We were lucky enough to get away for a night on Friday, and very thankful to my mom for taking Kyler! We stayed at the Little America, which is so beautiful! I couldn't believe how big our room was, and how comfy the bed was. We also got a $60 food credit with our room! And the food is way yummy too. They even had a little bag of goodies waiting in our room for us. It had cookies, chocolates, nuts, fruits and other things in it. Yes, I did splurge this weekend and didn't care about my diet, first time since starting so I figured it was fine!! It was such a great deal for what we paid! I think J.J. already wants to go back, because he keeps hinting about going again or trying to go to the Grand America next year for our anniversary. We tried to go to the hot tub but it was jammed packed, so we got in the pool for a minute until we started to freeze. I cant rave enough about this hotel though!! The picture below is one that is similar to our room. I kept telling myself to take one and never did. So I pulled one off the website. It is pretty much the same as the room we hadWhile we were down there we took the Trax to temple square. It's been along time since I got to just go there to walk around. It was so nice, and the weather was perfect. JJ I don't think had ever walked around down there much because he hadn't seen alot of the monuments, and things down there. It was fun to walk around with him and to explain to him what they were. We weren't able to make it to a session but even walking around the ground we could feel the spirit. It was so much fun and such a great experience.

Something neither one of us had seen was the new display of the Temple in the South visiting center. It was so cool, and the screens that would show you pictures of each room and explain what they were!! I have never done a session there so it was awesome to see what some of the rooms look like. I so want to go do one now!! As we were looking at it we had a man that was a senior missionary come upto us and tell us we should go look at the side monitors because that showed the sealing rooms were couples are married and that is something really special and neat to see. So we guessed he didn't think we were members or that we were married. It took us by surprise and we didn't know what to say before he walked off. But we had a good laugh about it.

As we were looking at a few of the other things we had a companionship of sister missionaries come upto us. We made sure to let them know we were members of the church. We had a really good talk to them about missionary work and the great blessings of the temples. When we left there we started talking about our wedding day, and it was great to think back to that day and all the things that happened. We then hopped back on Trax and went down to the Gateway and did a little shopping. I was happy because JJ finally let me buy him new shirts for spring. He never lets me buy him anything! Saturday we just got ready and came home. Kyler was getting sick when we left Friday and had a rough night at my moms, so we decided to get back to get him. He still has a bad cold, and I wish those darn teeth would just come in already!! He however is climbing up things like crazy, and has been trying to crawl the normal way. We have everything ready for his Birthday I believe, just waiting for some of the balloons to get here in the mail, and get his pictures taken. I'm so excited for it!!

Less than a month till Kyler's 1!!

Only 24 days and my Ky-Ky will be a year old!! It's so crazy to think about. This past month has sure been a busy one and I'm sure this one will be just as busy. Kyler is starting to be alot more active as well! He seems to be all over the place, even though he's not walking. He tries his hardest to climb up things but doesn't ave it down quite yet. His balance is also getting better, I think he'll be running before walking because he just wants to go..go..go. So this mommy is going to have a very active and busy summer. But I'm excited for it!! He is still trying to get those darn molars in! The past 3 days haven't been as bad but all last week was rough. I wish they'd just pop through already! We have also come to the conclusion he isn't going to have much patience:S If he can't get something to work the way he wants it he'll just hit it, and then try again, and hit it again. Or he'll just throw a fit! He has been starting to get bashful too. Its so funny because he never has been, and now he is to everyone. That is, he will be for a minute and then he wants to get everyones attention. This happens in the store quite often. He'll sit and stare at someone to try and get their attention and then turn and dunk his head and then start jabbering at them, its hilarious!! He loves all his stuffed animals too! He will crawl over to one of them and love on them. His turtle is still his favorite and has to have it to go to bed. He also will shack his head as he dances, but as done it a few other times like when I ask him if he loves me, or if we need to change his bum or if we should go somewhere. I don't really know if he understands he's shaking it no or not. Yesterday I did ask him if we needed to change his diaper and both me and JJ thought he said NO! He is starting to get such a big personality! The poor little guy got sick yesterday and started throwing up while we were at Sizzler. I think he must have eaten something that didn't agree well with him because it only lasted about an hour and a half and just wanted to play after he would. Now he has a horrible cold though! We are very excited for his birthday, even though it makes me sad alittle. We are getting everything ready and decorations picked out, we've had his presents for a month or so. I can't wait to see him that day. And we will be getting his year old pictures done when the weather cooperates and he's feeling better!

Healthier Peanut Butter Cups

I feel like everyone that loves Reese's or Peanut Butter M&M's should have this recipe! It awesome. I saw it on MyFitnessPal's message board and decided to try it. I'm so happy I did, its the perfect little treat.

I made nine for one batch-but only used 2.5 Tbsp. of Peanut Butter.
This is the easiest recipe

Ingredients needed:
Mini Cupcake liners
8oz. Lite or Fat Free Whipped Topping
*I used Lite
2-3 Tbsp. of Reduced Fat Peanut Butter
1 Tbsp. Chocolate Syrup
*I used Hershey's Lite

Instructions:
Mix Whipped Topping and Peanut Butter together until
all the Peanut Butter is mixed in well.
Pour equal amount of mix into cupcake foils on a flat cookie sheet or muffin pan.
Drizzle Chocolate Syrup over each Cup.
*I just mixed the Syrup in with the mix.
Freeze for 6-8 hours.
*Mine at 8 hours were still a little soft
And then Enjoy!!

HERE IS THE BEST PART!!
Nutritional Facts:
Serving: 1 cup
Calories: 47
Fat: 2.5
Carbs: 4
Protein: 1
*if you make more than nine each cup will be less!
Now mine don't look nicey nicey at all. I was in a hurry when I made them.
But here is the finished product!!
They taste just like Peanut Butter M&M's just without the candy coating!

The Sippy

All I can say is I am one lucky mom!! I've always been told to not wean babies from their bottle until they are one, but what if the child decides he doesn't like his bottle anymore!?! Kyler would drink water and juices when we gave him juice out of a sippy, but never did his formula. The other night I was getting him ready for bed, and he always drinks a bottle when he goes down. This time he refused the bottle wouldn't drink it, and then rolled over to his sippy, which didn't have anything in it and he started to cry. So I put the formula in there and sure enough he took it, and went right to sleep. It has been 3 days with out a bottle!! I've offered it and he just wants his sippy. Cant believe he weaned himself!! He also started milk today! I don't think I've seen him drink so fast, and that's saying something with him. He loves it!!
He still doesn't have much strength in his abdomen, He is still growing like a weed, 32 & 1/2 inches. So he hasn't mastered pulling him self up yet, but if you put him along the couch or his crib or anything else he'll walk along it. But he will want to look behind him or get excited and fall, if he had his balance down he'd be all over the place because he already tries to run out of your arms. Not really looking forward to that, but hopefully gates will help. He also knows how to do number one. If you say who's number one or how old you going to be, he'll hold up one. Its so cute! Sad that my baby is going to be one next month, I just can't wrap my head around it.
This kid also loves clothes. anytime I get something new (which thank you Old Navy for your baby sale, and all the coupons you sent me during it!) for him I'll pull it out to show him and he gets all excited. He'll grab for it and pick at the words or buttons on them. Its amazing what a few coupon codes can save you on an order. I literally saved over $150, and only paid $75 and that included a few things for JJ. Kyler has 3 swimsuits including the rashgards with each, 7 pairs of shorts, at least 15 shirts, 3 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of flip flops, and a new pair of church pants, JJ got some khaki's and a 3 new shirts and this was all only $75!! To me that's alot for the money I spent!! We also bought him a little suit for his birthday, but me and JJ liked different ones, so we decided to let Kyler decide. We held them up to him and he looked at both, and started grabbing at a certain one:) I was happy with the outcome! He has done the same with some toys we have gotten him for his birthday, 2 brands will have similar toys so we'll see what one he likes more. He is starting to become a very independent little boy!
Also another story about saving money and finding an awesome deal! We went into Ross yesterday because my mom had called me earlier say she was there and they had some cute skirts, knowing I needed some. So while we were in Logan we stopped. I did find 2 really cute skirts and 2 others I could have bought because they were so cute but decided I didn't need. Then found out my mom had boughten those two! I went over to look at the shoes as well, and saw they had the Reebok easy-tones. I've wanted a pair for a long time! They were marked $50 which is a decent deal on them, seeing as Shopko had them for $80 on sale. They also had a knock off brand that was $20, and so I decided to get those. JJ being the wonderful guy that he is, told me to get the Reebok ones. That I've worked hard on losing weight and I deserved a reward. I sure love him!! So we go to check out and the guy scans them and they rang up for $20!! He looks at them and says "That's weird, another lady just bought some but they rung up for $50, but oh well!!" I couldn't believe it! I told him I'd pay the $50 for them since they were marked that, but he just said well they rang up for $20 so don't worry about it, just consider it your lucky day. Seems like I've been having alot of those lately!! I love saving money!! As far as the weightloss, I haven't lost any this week according to the scale, but I am down a pant size! I had bought some capri's last week that I set a goal to be in by Kyler's birthday a size down from what my jeans are, when I tried them on it was horrible barely could get them on, and when I did I had a horrible muffin top. Didn't know if I was going to be able to loss the weight by the time I wanted. I also bought a pair of jeans that were the same size as those but a different brand get home last night try them on and they fit comfortably! So decided to try on the capri's and they fit a whole lot better. Still a little tight, but hardly any muffin top! I was so happy, not sure how its possible since there hasn't been any movement in my weight and last time I was in this size I was 20lbs. lighter. Not going to worry about it too much though, and keep working hard to make them lose! Also I have a hate-love relationship with Jillian Michael's right now, I swear she is trying to kill me!

My New Crush

I have a new crush on my Heart Rate Monitor(HRM)! On myfitnesspal alot of people suggest getting one, where everyone is different a computer isn't going to estimate the right number of calories burned for everyone. With a HRM, at least one with a chest strap, it detects your heart beats and can give you a closer and more accurate number of calories you burn. So I decided to invest in one. After asking, and researching it seemed like the brand to go with was Polar. However, when I looked at there prices they were a little high. I decided to check out Ebay to see if by chance they had one. Luckily they did, the HRM I bought which is the FT40 goes for anywhere between $150-$190 I found a brand new one still in the package for $50!! It was an amazing deal, and well worth it. I recieved it today and can't take my eyes off of it. I keep checking to see how many calories I've burned or what my heart rates at. It did come with the chest strap as well and it isn't uncomfortable at all. I have to say I don't know why it took me so long to get going again. I love it!! I already have more energy, at least on the days where I sleep the night before. And I just feel better. There isn't a better feeling than stepping on the scale to see pounds drop or putting on pants that didn't fit before(ok so maybe there are a few better feelings, but for me this is the best right now) I'm excited for this summer and all the fun things there will be to do. JJ's work is probably going to go to 12 hour shift, 4 one week 3 another, but in a way it will be kinda nice so he can actually have some days off so we can go out and have fun. I wish it would get warm already! I still have a ways to go, I haven't reached my half way mark yet, hoping to do that with in a few weeks though. It would be so nice to lose the weight in time for summer, and look good in cute summer clothes!! I think thats motivating me alot. Now I'm rambling so I'll shut up!
