Ramblings

First off let me apologize for the way this post will probably turn out. I have alot on my mind so I'm sure this post will be a little random and spacey.
I guess the first thing weighing on my mind lately is the baby and the fact we only have 2.5 weeks till he is here! I have been so calm up to this point about having another and then this week hit and I've started to panic. I think its finally hit me that I will have two! I have been worrying so much over how Kyler will react to the baby. I think he'll be ok with him while we are at the hospital it will be once we get home he might start to not like him so much. With the babies that have been born in our family he has tried to poke their eyes out and today as we visited with JJ's family it was good to see he finally wasn't trying to claw Ryan's(JJ's nephew) eyes out! I'm hoping he will be over that stage now! I'm scared to that Kyler will not like me once the baby is here also. He already is such a daddy's boy and I'm scared he will just not want anything to do with me or that he will be so mad at me for bringing another little baby into our lives that takes away some of his attention. I just don't know what to expect, and am getting really scared what might happen. It is funny how JJ will freak out one day about things and I'll be calm about it and the next day it will be the other way around! He said to me today how everything will be ok and that our mom's have went through it we have friends that have went through it and all their kids have turned out fine and all their kids love their mom! That made me feel a bit better, I just hope Kyler will understand that the baby isn't a bad thing and that Xander will just be another little part to our family that we get to love and have fun with. He is still really cute with my belly and will hug and kiss it, and I really hope that will just translate over once Xander is out.
Tonight I put together my baby bag to take to the hospital. I found it so funny how quickly the diaper bag filled up as I was packing it. I really haven't carried around a diaper bag for awhile we just have spare diapers and wipes in the car for Kyler if he needs to be changed when we are out and about. I probably packed alot more than I need for the little guy since we will be at the hospital but I just wanted to make sure and be prepared. I almost started to cry when I went to put diapers in the bag, and realized how tiny they are! They seem so tiny compared to Kyler's
I don't think this picture does is justice but it kinda compares the two. It will be nice to have a small little one for awhile. I just wish he would stay small forever and not grow as fast has his big brother has, even though I'm sure he will. I also put in the outfit to bring him home in. I fell in love with this little sleeper when I saw it and had to have it..I even bought it both newborn and 0-3 months sizes so that Xander will be able to wear it even if he comes out bigger than expected. I so can't wait to be able to put him in it and bring him home....
Speaking of home, we now know we will actually still be in our apartment until the end of the month. In house news we finally got an accepted offer and have start the loan process. We are getting it inspected on Monday, to make sure there isn't anything to wrong with it. As long as the inspection goes well and the loan goes through we will be in this house sometime in August!! JJ's calls me a pessimist because I am always saying what if about everything with it. Our loan officer told us today the only thing we would have to worry about is USDA running out of money and she said and they have lots of money so I think you'll be fine. This should have given me some comfort but it really didn't. I do know whatever is meant to happen will, and that something happens and we don't get it its a trial the Lord will put us through for a reason. It is very exciting to think we actually could be in a house in just a few weeks! I guess I just have been keeping my hope low so I won't be heart broken if it doesn't work out. Anyways here is the house! With the sale pending sign:) hopefully in a few weeks it will have a sold sign on it instead!!
It has 4 bedrooms and 1.75 baths, and the only part of it that's not finished is the laundry room and storage room. It has a huge backyard too which was something we both really wanted and it even has a basketball hoop for Kyler!
The closing date on it right now isn't set until August 17th, which means we will be "homeless" for a few weeks. We will most likely end up staying with our parents for those few weeks. There is a slight chance we could close on it sooner but we aren't counting on it with how slow the banks have been working on it so far. Here's to hoping the inspection goes well on Monday and that we will hear good news on the loan within a couple of weeks:)

Hospital Kits

Over the past few months while I've been browsing  Pinterest I've seen a few different ideas about putting together a kit for the dad. These were mostly for the dads that had to wait through their wife's labor so they had a bunch of different activities to do. I figured since JJ wouldn't have to wait through labor and that he'll be pretty tired from working the night before I would just get him a bunch of goodies. On a couple of the kits I saw they had went and wrote little notes of love or appreciation to their spouse with some sort of saying that went with the treat. I did my best to come up with some saying and i hope JJ will get a kick out of some of them! Mine also are not as neat as the ones I've seen, I was to lazy to make labels on the computer and attach them so I settled for post-its and a bag from his gifts last father's day. Anyways here is how his turned out...
One of my biggest fears going into this has been first how Kyler will react to the baby once he's here and second how Kyler will be at the hospital and how to keep him entertained while he's there. As I was figuring out what to put in JJ's kit I thought maybe I should make Kyler one too. So I just grabbed a bunch of his favorite goodies, a little basketball hoop(yes, its a bath one but the only one I could find that was small enough to take), a book about being a big brother, and a big brother shirt. I'm hoping that way he'll be entertained and make him excited about what all will be going on. Here is his kit...
We now have less than 3 weeks before Xander is here! I'm excited to have him here, but nervous about everything we need to get done before and everything that will be happening afterwards. I went to the doctor yesterday and everything still looks good! Its weird to think I only have 2 more appointments before we go in to have him. Right now we are scheduled to have him the 17th and we will either have the 7:30a.m. or 8:45a.m. surgery spot, we won't know until the week before though. But either way it will sure be nice to get him here and in our arms!! I hadn't worried to much over having two kids until this past week, and now I'm starting to get nervous about it. I sure hope I can handle two of them! I just want to be the best mom I can be to them and I hope I can give both of them everything they need! I sure love them both so much!!

Daddy Pregnancy

I have been meaning to do a post on this and just never sat down and did it! Plus since it was father's day this past weekend I needed to do a post about my amazing husband. He is just the BEST, and works so hard for us. He takes such good care of all of us and I just couldn't ask for a better person to spend eternity with! He is such a good example, teacher, comforter, and even coach to Kyler. When he is home Kyler has to have daddy put him to bed or if he gets hurt he wants daddy! It makes me jealous at times but its such a neat bond to see.
JJ made the comment to me the other day how he hopes he won't show favoritism to Kyler once the baby is here, I thought he was joking and laughed:/ but he was serious and said its the thing that worries him the most about having another. I told him I couldn't see him showing favoritism to either one, and that he'll love them both the same, and that it will be like when we had Kyler and how he fell completely in love with him when he held him for the first time. I think that comforted him a bit. I thought it was neat he was worrying about it, I never thought of it because I know we will all be in love with Xander when he gets here. It is weird to think of having two kids to love and play with and make sure they are both getting enough attention, but I know we will make it work and we will try to do our best.
Now more about what the title is about! During my whole pregnancy it has seemed JJ has had some of the symptoms more than I have. Mine mostly have been the heartburn, nausea, and exhaustion, his has been more crazy dreams and cravings with a few of the not so much fun stuff with it. With Kyler I remember craving alot of different things and this time I haven't had very many, mostly just for anything chocolate. With JJ however he gets cravings all the time!! Just tonight he told me on Friday which is payday he wants to go eat at Pizza Pie Cafe (pizza buffet in Logan), McDonald's, $1.00 hot dogs at Kents, and then ColdStone! He's lucky in the fact he could eat at all those places and still not gain an ounce. It makes me laugh when he gets like this and will crave it until he gets it, makes me realize how I was last time. Here are the things he has craved the most the past 8ish month!
Pizza Plus Breadsticks
McDonald's French Fries
Western Families Caramel Caraboo Ice cream
Captain Crunch
Popcorn
Chicken Enchiladas
Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches
Any type of Cookies
Other than the cravings he also went through his phase of nausea, where he would wake up and not feel well for the first few hours of the day. He lately has been alot more tired too. Which I understand he works graveyards and some of the tiredness comes from that, but it use to be he wouldn't be able to sleep nights he was off and the past few weeks he sleeps all night long with naps during the day. Makes me think its another "sympathy symptom", or whatever you want to call it. Another one has been the crazy dreams. My dreams haven't been all to crazy, just alot of things that feel like they are really happening that are strange. However JJ's have been totally funny(to me) and just messed up at times. He had one just the other night that he was in the "Hunger Games" and was going around killing people! Another one of my favorites was he was Spider Man only he was in Gotham City and they had a spider spotlight thing for him instead of the bat one, this goes back to him liking spider man and me liking batman more!
For the most part I have just found his "pregnancy" funny, I do feel bad where he has been so tired and exhausted lately! Yet he keeps working as much as he can and will play with Kyler and be the amazing man he is. We are very grateful to have him as DADDY in our home!
We Love You Daddy!!

Only 1 Month Left!

I can't believe we only have a month left until Xander is here!! It has gone by so fast, and I'm sure this next month will go by fast too. I'm so very excited to get him here and to be able to hold him. I just can't express enough how excited I am and how grateful that he has been so healthy up to this point.
Here is a picture JJ snaped of me yesterday at almost 35 weeks, and feeling very pregnant!

Summer Days.

We have done alot of fun things this summer already, but I think its days like today I like the most. Kyler and I started out the day shopping with grandma. When we got home we headed to the park to let Kyler run out some energy. After that we went and had dinner with Grandpa   Harris, and again we were all in shock at how much Kyler can snarf down! We then came home and played out in the yard, he still wasn't tired so we decided to go for a late swim at the pool. Which will probably be something we do alot in the next few weeks since I found that it takes my aches and pains away for awhile! Anyways it was just a fun day out and about. Its so much fun just to watch Kyler  play whether its at the park, the pool, or just outside our apartment. He is suh a fish and I think would stay in the pool all day if we would let him. Today he started jumping off the sides of the pool to us and just had a blast. He would also count "one, two, three" in his little way and have us throw him and make him splash into the water. I couldn't believe he wouldn't cry when he would get water in his face or be dunked in the water, he would just laugh and smile the whole time! It was just such a fun day and I can't wait for Xander to join our family and the joy he will bring us! We love watching Kyler's face light up when he does new things and I can't wait to have two of them to watch play. I just love my little family and days like today where we get to spend time all together and just have fun.
Here are a few pictures from playing at the park
He loves the swings!
Him and JJ playing in the slides. JJ wanted to feel like a little kid!
He found dandelions but instead of picking them and blowing them he would cup them in his hands and knock off the little peddles and then run to the next one.

Decisions Decisions!

I find it funny lately how I will say I don't want to do something at a certain time and then things will happen and we will end up doing it at that time. Example: I said I didn't want to be due with a new baby during the summer and then I am due in July. More recently however I said I wouldn't want to move being 8 or 9 months pregnant and that is what we have decided to do. Don't get me wrong both the things I have mentioned are wonderful things and will bring us alot of joy! A few weeks ago I had posted a bunch of quotes and I'll now explain more about it. Back in February we decided to go in and see how much we pre-approved for for a house. When we knew our price range we started looking, at the time the houses we looked at weren't what we wanted or just needed lots of work that we knew we weren't going to be able to put in by the time the baby got here. We then decided we would take a break from looking until the baby got here, because I really didn't want to move being 8-9 months pregnant! But rates dropped again and we got looking on one of the websites we've been using to find a house and saw a couple we were interested in. We fell in love with one but the bank came back wanting alot more money than they had originally listed the house for, so that didn't work out. Our realtor had one that wasn't up on the market yet but she was working on the listing for and took us to see. We liked it just as much as the first one and decided that when they had the listing up we would make an offer!! This is a  big step for us and we have both been nervous at times about it but when we have prayed about it we have felt really good about it. The bank that owns the house has just been taking their precious time when it comes to reviewing the offers. We made one and they countered back and we accepted that one, so now we are just waiting to hear back from them that they accept it and we should be moving on to the next step of it. But if everything goes well we should be able to close by the end on July! When we were talking about it we got thinking how I have planned on recovering after the baby at my moms for a couple weeks, this brought up the fact that maybe we should just put in our 30 days notice at our apartment and for that few weeks live with my parents, since we pretty much would be anyways. After praying about it that is what we have decided to do. And then if things don't workout with the house we will just find a bigger apartment to move into. Its been a couple of nerve wrecking weeks and we will be happy when we know more about what exactly will happen. We have alot of different emotions going through us but for the most part we are excited. We know whats meant to happen will and that we will end up where we are suppose to. So for now we get to start packing and hoping our patience will pay off!

Abplanalp Family Pictures

We had family pictures done last week with my family. With how my families pictures usually turn out I was actually really happy these ones look good, even with me being 8 months pregnant! Kyler pretty much ran the show and just wanted to throw rocks and play in the weeds but we thankfully got some good one. Here they are....

Last Night With Uncle Derek!

My brother Derek leaves for the MTC in the morning. I can't believe how fast the last 2 weeks have gone! We've spent a lot of time at my parents house just to spend time with him before he leaves and to get Kyler use to Colton. We had their Homecoming/Farewell on Sunday and it was such a great day! They both did so well giving their talks and it was fun to see how much Colton has changed in the way he gives talks in the past couple of years and knowing Derek will be the same way. After the meeting we had a big luncheon with alot of the family and friends. It was nice to see everyone and get to chat with them. That night my youngest brother Rhett was also made a priest! It crazy how old we are all getting.
Tonight we went over and had dinner with the family and then headed to the church to have Derek set apart. The Stake President gave him a wonderful blessing and it made us all feel better about him leaving. After that we headed back to my parents and spent the night packing his bags, watching basketball, and just chatting. It was really nice! I am so proud of him for all the decisions he has made! He has always been the "Angle" child of the family and its kinda hard to think we won't get to see him for 2 years. He always does anything you ask him to and is just such a good brother and uncle! I'm hoping Kyler will be able to remember him somewhat. He loves to tease and play with him and I just hope he won't forget all of it. Its also been different this time since Derek won't get to see Xander at all, but with how Kyler has been with Colton I'm sure he will warm up to Derek when he gets back. We are so proud of Derek and know he is making the right decision! We are looking so forward to hearing all of his experiences he will have in Mexico and the things he will learn. It will be hard not having him around and we will miss him! But we know the Lord will be with him and that he is doing what he needs too.
This was Him and Kyler tonight!
We Love You Elder Abplanalp!!

Another Fun Friday Down in Salt Lake

We decided to go down to the Zoo again this weekend to see the new exhibit! It was fun because my friend Ashlee and her family was able to come with us:) Kyler was a bit of a grouch while we were at the zoo...which made it kinda hard to see everything and make it enjoyable. He was really cute when we got into Rocky Shores though. There was a statue of a Sea Lion he kept hugging and kissing. And he loved watching the Sea Lion and Otters swim around. Makes me wish Sea World was closer. I loved seeing the the Bears. They now have a mixtures of grizzly and brown bears in one part and the polar bear in another. We were lucky this time because most the animals were up and about unlike last time. This will probably be the last time we get to go before the baby gets here, and I'm already excited to go back in the fall when its less crowded and   Kyler be in a better mood!
After the Zoo we headed down towards the Temple. My family had been down there yesterday and my youngest brother told us he went on a tour of the Conference Center and really enjoyed it and that we should go. So we took his advice and went. It was the first time any of us had been to the gardens on the roof and it was beautiful! I could have stayed up there all day. Kyler also enjoyed it because he got to see the Temple the entire time. While we were at the Conference Center we got to go down to the bottom of the Auditorium where they have conference. This was another first for me. When I went when I was in young women's we got to see it but from higher up. It was really neat seeing what the prophet and apostles look out on when they speak and how big it really is. There was a guy there playing the organ and Kyler was just in awe! When we were walking back out Kyler saw a window that had the waterfall in front of it and kept saying, "Oh Wow!" while he looked out the windows. We then decided to walk over to Temple Square, we walked around for a few minutes and then went into the visitor center to get Kyler a drink. While we were in there we went up and saw the statue of Christ. Kyler ran right up to it and was trying to give it a hug. We then went down and looked at all the pictures they have and he again kept saying "Oh Wow!" to everyone.
When we left Temple Square we headed down to the Living Planet Aquarium. We have heard such good things about and had some passes to go and decided we should use them while we were down there today. Kyler really enjoyed it! He loved seeing all the fish. They had a little tank that had some clown fish in it and he went right up and put his head right up to the glass. He was also a big fan of petting the Sting Rays too, he would go "Ewww" when ever he felt one. Among his other favorites were the Penguins, Otters, and the Sharks! It's definitively some where we will be going again! My camera died while we were at Temple Square so the pictures at the Aquarium aren't all that great since they were taken with our phones and we couldn't use the flash.
We then decided to call it a day and head home, not before stopping at In-N-Out to eat though! It was a really fun day for the most part and I was very grateful that it never got to hot! Pictures are below!:)

Temples and A Few Other Things

Ever since we went to Salt Lake and walked around Temple Square, Kyler has been obsessed with temples. Last Thursday when we picked up Colton I couldn't believe Kyler could actually point out the temples on the way there and on the way home. He gets all excited when he sees them. We drove into Brigham City that night and drove by the temple being built there and he was just in awe! I can't explain the joy on his face when he saw it all lit up. The past few days his new thing is to point out the temple in the pictures we have hanging up in our apartment. He will point to them until we say "temple" and then he will go to the next picture and do the same thing. Tonight he was doing it and he would actually try to say it. It is just the cutest thing to me. I'm hoping we will be able to go to Temple Square again this weekend while we are in Salt Lake so he can enjoy being around the temple again. It also makes me look forward to the Brigham City Temple Open house in a few months when we can take him through it and to see his face then!
Along with that he is also trying to say more things, alot of his words still aren't clear but at least he is trying! Our new favorite is Spaghetti-O. The way he says it is just so cute and we laugh every time he says it. We've been trying to record him saying it but he gets camera shy when we get the camera out.
I'm still not sure if he understands fully about the baby, but lately he has been a lot more aware of my belly, it just may be the fact of how its popping out more and more. Anyways, he will always come up and rub my belly and hug it. I sure hope he will be that way with the baby and just love it right off and not be mean...I'm getting more nervous about it each day! He also tries to say Xander when he rubs my belly. I just love it when he comes over and hugs my belly!!
I think that is all for now, we have a couple busy days so I'm sure there will be more updates soon:)

Colton's Home!!

My brother Colton got home last night from his mission in Honduras:) He has sure grown up alot! It is funny to hear him talk because he does have an accent and he will start speaking spanish with out even noticing. It is so nice to have him back. Kyler wasn't to sure about him at first, but all Colton had to do was play basketball with him and give him some gummy bears and he has warmed right up to him. We now just get to spend the next week and half spending some time as a full family before Derek leaves! Here are some pictures from yesterday.

We decorated the lawn, door, and window with greetings for him! We did the cement factory for him to but haven't gotten a picture of it yet because its been dark when we have been by.
On the way to the airport/ or waiting at the airport.
We had made some signs to hold up there. My mom came up with some creative sayings including..."Hip-Hip Hooray, Here Comes Elder A.","Welcome Home Co, from the Land of The Hondo." , the others were just Welcome Home and one in spanish:)
He finally arrives with lots of hugs to give!
