Outside Fun

I've been on the hunt for a slide for Kyler since before his birthday, I just wanted a small one that wouldn't take up much space. I finally found one that folds right up and was a decent price. Since today was pretty good outside we decided to go out and play. He loved it! He tried to climb up the front of it and started to go down it on his belly(not head first of course). He also loved to hide under it and and play peek-a-boo. He also liked to play with the grass. He pulled a piece out of the ground and just stared at it, and then tried to eat it. I'm so happy its starting to get warm so we can go outside more often:) We are planning on going to the zoo tomorrow so we'll probably have another post from that, but for now here are the pictures from today!

Here's the Proof

I finally got video of Kyler taking steps tonight while we were at my mom's house! He is starting to do it alot more:) He was even catching himself from falling tonight, even though once he gets to where he's going he'll fall as you'll see. He was getting so excited and would try to run but would end up falling down. He's such a cutie!! He was very proud of himself tonight to, and would start clapping and laughing after he made it to someone. He started to take off from things by himself to, which has been the battle. If we would hold him and let him go he would be fine, but if you tried to get him to walk from the couch to you by himself he wouldn't and would just crawl. But today he started to take off, I'm sure it'll be anytime now, that he'll be walking and running all over the place. Which makes his mommy very nervous!!

SunShine

These are a few days old, before it started to warm up! Since it hasn't been warm enough to play in his pool outside, we decided to make it a ball pit and blow it up inside to let him play in it. He didn't know what to think about it at first and then started to love it. We still have it up and he crawls in it all the time and throws the balls out until they start to get low and then he'll crawl out and put them back in. Its been a great way to keep him entertained too.

Birthday Celebration

Thursday was my Birthday and I had a great day! A few weeks ago JJ had taken me shopping for some clothes since I don't have much that fits anymore:) So he gave me what we bought that day along with some other clothes he bought me that I didn't know he had. I guess when he took me it was to find out what sizes I wore! I have a whole new wardrobe now for summer and am very grateful to him for giving me everything he did. I also got a traveling cosmetic bag set and lotions and hair products. When we went on our anniversary overnighter I had to pack everything like lotions, shampoo-conditioner, make-up all in zippy bags so he got me the cosmetic bag set so when we go places now I actually have something to pack things like that in. Its so cute. He also bought me a mini curling iron, I needed a new curling iron and he bought it not realizing it was a mini one but it works and has a cute design on it!! My mom and dad got me so perfume and lotion from bath and body works that smells divine, along with a bracelet, credit-card holder, a shirt, and some money. JJ's parents and my grandparents also gave me some money, not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. Since my birthday was on Thursday and Thursdays are my Grey's Anatomy Night's I told JJ all I wanted was to eat pizza and watch my show. And we did exactly that! It was really nice just to be able to relax at home with my two guys. Hopefully that will happen alittle more since JJ is now working 12's which sucks on the days he works but its been nice to have him home on the days he has off. He took me out on Friday for Dinner and a Movie. We went to see Something Borrowed, it was really cute and funny!! After seeing that we went and ate at the Bluebird, I haven't eaten there in ages and it was very yummy! So as you can see I had a wonderful birthday and thank you to everyone that had wished me one, it sure meant alot!!!

Who Else But A Mother

Who first loves and nurtures us and takes care of every need,as she accepts into her life someone new to bathe and feed?

Who brags about accomplishments; first teeth...first sounds...first smile and makes every little thing that's done seem important and worthwhile?

Who’s been known to, after dark enter a room and slowly creep to bend and kiss the forehead of a child fast asleep?

Who holds a hand while crossing as she thoughtfully conveys a reminder to her child that he should always "look both ways?"

Who wipes peanut butter off a cheek and crayon off the wall and knots an untied shoelace to avoid a likely fall?

Who watches the swift passing of childhood years that she will mourn, and remembers every small detail about the day that child was born?

Who works the longest hours without a vacation...or a check, but accepts her payment in the form of a hug around her neck?

Who never stops believing even when others are in doubt and defends the fact her child was "safe" when the umpire calls him out!?

Who senses things just aren’t right and with the palm of her hand decrees by placing it on her child’s brow... the fever’s 101 degrees?

Who shares life’s disappointments and feels the pain of all the bruises and delights in her child’s winnings, but offers solace when he loses?

Who realizes as the years pass by... the further her child will roam and who stays up late with worry when that child isn’t home?

Who tries to shield and protect by showing courage...staying strong; trying to set a good example while her heart is breaking all along?

Who acts as a private tutor as the years fall in succession by taking each opportunity to teach life’s every lesson?

Who listens with her heart even when her child is grown and understands the feelings that she once herself, had known?

Who saved old cards and letters and kept pictures on the shelves and offered unconditional love so we could learn to love, ourselves?

This poem describes one person; a woman unlike any other, for who could possess that level of love... Who Else, But A Mother?

By Linda Ellis

I loved that poem and wanted to share it. I haven't experienced all of those things yet, but I have a wonderful mother who I know as gone through every single one of those with me and my brothers and I am so very grateful for her for all she has done for me over the years. I am excited to be able to experience some of those things, even though they may sound fun and some even terrifying but I know its all apart of my little boy and hopefully future kids growing up.

To me this year feels like my first mothers day, rather than last year. I was just recovering from my Gall Bladder surgery last year and don't remember alot of it. That and now I have a better understanding of what being a mom is like after a year of being one rather than just a month. I'm so very grateful for my little boy and I thank my Heavenly Father every day for sending him to me. He's my little angle, and brightens my life every single day. I just hope I can be the mom he needs me to be as he gets older, and that I can teach him all that he needs to be taught.

My amazing husband once again spoiled the heck out of me. He decided to give me the gifts he bought me tonight instead of tomorrow, we are always so busy Sunday mornings trying to get ready for church so this way we had more time and my brother is calling tomorrow and my mom is having her family come to there house for dinner so we are headed there and then to JJ's parents house right after so we don't have alot of time for just us tomorrow. Anyways, I loved everything he got me here are the pics:

Flowers Blow dryer, 2 pairs of sandals, #1 mom Shirt, and a Ring

My Beautiful Roses

The Ring. Story: My Wedding ring is now to big for my finger with the weight I've lost. I have about lost my ring around 10 times because it just falls off my finger. We haven't gotten it sized because I haven't lost all I want to yet and I don't want to have to size it over and over again. So instead he bought me this. He has witnessed my wedding ring flying off my finger, and had seen me eyeing a few cz rings online. I had seen one that looked similar to this one that he asked me if I liked, but I love this one even more. And you honestly wouldn't think its fake, its so sparkly and it isn't unbelievably huge. JJ said the jeweler he got it from said it was a top of the line lab-created diamond and some jewelers probably wouldn't even know the difference between it and a regular diamond. I just absolutely LOVE IT!!

I'm very grateful for my husband and the way he treats me and how he spoils me even when I tell him not too. I told him not to get me anything for Mother's Day where my Birthday is this week and I already know he has quite a bit for me for that and where we bought a new car this past month that is pretty much so I can have a car when he's gone, but sure enough he got me stuff. I love him so much and not just for the fact he spoils me. He treats me so well and makes sure we are always taken care of. He compliments me at least once a day and I'm very very thankful to have gotten such an amazing guy. He is such a great dad to Kyler as well. As cliche as it sounds he does make me a better person. But I will stop being so cheesy!!

I hope all you MOMs have a wonderful Mother's Day today!! You all deserve it:)

Finally taking steps!!!

Kyler is taking steps!! He can pretty much walk across our front room area before he falls. I've been so excited, but now I'm nervous because when he does it he's pretty much running. We've had to block off our stairs too because he loves to climb them, good thing about it is that when its nap time or bed time and he isn't ready to go down a couple laps of stairs wears him out. I know any day he'll just take off, he is always letting go of things and balancing on his own until one of us notice. I don't have any video of it yet but will be trying to get one in the next couple of days. He also is saying MAMA very clearly again when he wants to he won't be forced into saying it, we were also playing this morning with his ball popper toy that shoots out the balls that he got for Christmas(thank you aunt Debbie) and he was saying Woe and giggling really hard! It was so cute. He can shake his little bum really fast too I couldn't believe how fast he was shaking it today when we had music going. But I was super excited about him taking steps I wanted to update this! I'll try and post a video soon!!

Also: Warning To All You Mom's with teething babies: they announced today on the news numbing gels with benzocaine can be harmful to infants-toddlers under 2 years old. They said to only use it unless your doctor tells you other wise. It can slow the blood flow to certain areas. I know I have used it on Kyler before so I wanted to make sure everyone got the warning. I'm sure if you google it there is more info. on it!!
