Xander's Special Day!

Today we got to Bless Xander! It was such a neat day:)
JJ gave him such a wonderful blessing! He blessed him to be strong and to have a healthy body and heart, to study the scriptures and have the desire to serve a mission, and when the time comes to find a spouse to take to the temple and have a family, along with other wonderful things I just can't think of right now. Thankfully a lady in our ward wrote down the words of the blessing and gave it to me so I can read through it:)
We then had a luncheon at our house with all of family! I feel so blessed to have such a supporting family and  am so grateful to everyone who came!!
My heart is so full today. Words just can't describe how grateful I am to have two sweet little boys! I am humbled everyday that my Heavenly Father sent them to me. I love them so much and they bring me so much joy! Xander has just added so much more love and happiness to our little family and I am so thankful to have him here and healthy.
He is just such a sweet baby and we all love him so much!!

Bath Time!

This picture was just to cute not to post! I know I probably won't get ''Mother of the Year'' for using the bumbo in the bath, oh who am I kidding a chance of that happening went out the window long ago, but its so much easier to use that than dealing with a squirmy baby in the sink or his little tub. Plus it cuts back on time since I can bath both my boys together!! Which any extra little minute of the day I can get sure is nice:) Kyler really likes being able to help wash Xander, even though he did try to poor water over his head! Xander has really enjoyed it too. He has always loved his bath but would get squirmy. In the big tub he will just sit there and look around and smile at Kyler. Its so neat to already see how much they love each other!!

Temple Dedication

Today JJ and I got to go to the Brigham City Temple dedication! I was so grateful my mom got up and went to the early one so she could watch the kids while we went.
It was such an amazing experience!! I've been to a number of temple open houses and have loved them, but never to a dedication. I think something that made this so special was that it was the Brigham City Temple!
Hearing President Packer talking about growing up in Brigham was so neat! He had talked about how he met his wife and how they both only lived within a mile of where the temple is now, which is something I also can relate to since we lived there when I was a kid. He talked about what a special valley we live in and how blessed we are to now have a temple here.
His son that is in the Seventy also talked. He talked about how one of his grandpas would walk over the mountain to Logan at the beginning of the week to go to work and would always talk about the temple. This was also mentioned at the ground breaking for the temple. Before the temple was complete alot of the youth in the temple district held a Walk to the Temple. My mom got to participate in it since she is in the YW's in our ward and said how neat it was to do but that she is grateful to have a car so she doesn't have to do that every time she goes to the temple. Anyways he then went on to say how now that the temple is complete we not only need to walk/drive to the temple but we need to go inside the temple and how important temple work is. This really hit me hard because we always drive by the temples so Kyler can see them but we are lacking on actually going in the temple to do a session. And we talked about it after and have agreed to make sure we get to a session more often!
I can't remember her name but the lady that talked in our session made the comment on how when something is new we are usually really excited over it or want to do it all the time but as time goes on we lose our excitement and things start to feel like a chore. She then made the connection between that and going to the temple, and how just because we are excited about the new temple we need to make sure once the newness wears off we are still going and doing the work we need to!
Her husband which is in the Temple Presidency also talked, the thing that stuck out to me the most in his talk was that he had been to a missionary meeting and the missionary presidents wife said how the thing she loved most about being a mom was when she would bath her kids. She loved scrubbing their little feet and hands and how once they were done how the kids were so clean. She then referenced it to baptism and how special it was to know that her kids could always be clean through the atonement. Tonight while I was bathing my boys I sure looked at it completely different than I had before! I know that the days that they are going to be baptized are going to come much faster than I want them to, but it will be so neat at the sametime!
Only one more story...President Nelson had talked about all these different places he has been recently from Rome to Russia to Washington and now to Brigham which is so dear to him. He said how wonderful it has been to see the church grow so much and what a blessing it is to see temples in so many different places. He talked about Jerusalem and how there had been temples built there through out history but everytime they had been destroyed. It has been said there is to be a temple built there again. When he was there last he said he was in some tunnels and there was some Jewish rabbis that were praying they soon turned around and asked a archeologist that was there whats suppose to happen and what they were suppose to do if a new temple was built. His response was,''I don't know ask the Mormons!'' This made the whole congregation laugh.
I cried through out the whole meeting! The spirit was so strong and the whole experience was just amazing! The words of the prayer were so sweet and made me so grateful to be in this valley. The Hosanna shout was very neat to participate in and to see everyone stand up and do it. The whole experience is something I will never forget, and I can't wait to be able to go and do a session and be able to just sit and enjoy the blessings and beauty of it!! I am so grateful to have the temples on our lives and to have been sealed for time and all eternity. I love my little family and realized even more how the temple can be a blessing to us today! I hope Kyler will continue to love the temple as he grows up, and that Xander as well with any other kids we have will learn to love them as well.

Our Life The Past Weeks In Pictures

I am so thankful to have Instagram so I can just take cute pictures of my boys whenever I want instead of having to get my camera out to take some. Makes life alittle easier!

Anyways here are a few things that have happened this past week..

First this freaky thing! We went to Target last week and Kyler saw this and had to have it. It has now became something he teases me with, I hate spiders!
It is sure nice to have a gated backyard! We can let Kyler just go out a play outside to run all his energy out.
I made this wreath to go with our Halloween decor for when we decorate. When I had gotten it wrapped with the yarn JJ grabbed it and said, "This would make a good frame." So I snapped a picture:)
Kyler likes to try and help us out with the baby...well sometimes. This morning the baby was awake and started crying, while I was in the bathroom and this is what I walked into...he's such a good big brother and Xander sure loves him anytime he sees him he gets a big smile on his face!
Xander turned 2 Months on Monday!

Xander at 2 Months:
*Smiles and Coo's all the time!
*Loves being or looking outside!
*Loves his swing and likes watching the mobile on it!
*Still not a big fan of his carseat, until we are in the car!
*Is in 3 Month clothing but his sleepers are starting to be to short!
*Will sleep from about 11:00pm to 5:00am with a few hour naps through out the day!
*Eats 6 ounces every 2 hours...he has a very hearty appetite!
*Mommy's boy all the way!
I think that is it...nothing to exciting going on right now, but its kinda nice after the hectic few months we have had!

Name Fun

A friend of mine did this on her blog and I thought it would be fun to do! I haven't done a random post like this in a while so I thought what the heck!

When naming our kids I never really thought about the meaning behind them, just wasn't a big deal to me. It is interesting to see the meanings though.
My friend used meaning-of-names.com and I used it as well.

I am going to do all of our names though, so here we go....

Jerry Jay:
Jerry means: Holy
Jay means: To rejoice, to be swift

Sharon Lynn:
Sharon means: Flat Clearing
Lynn means: Waterfall or Snake
*Not all to fond of the meanings!

Kyler Jerry:
Kyler means: Handsome one, woods or church
Jerry means: Holy

Xander Stephen:
Xander means: Defender of the People
Stephen means: Crowned One

I had a good laugh about them all! I do like the boys' meanings though.

The names we like for our future kids meanings include...Strength, Night, People's Favor, and Wisdom.

To take it to even funnier level you can go to urbandictionary.com and look up names there!
Again here's ours....
(side note: I took the first ones I could find that weren't inappropriate)

Jerry Jay:
Jerry: An amazing guy that is sweet, funny, caring. Has the most amazing laugh and voice ever. Someone who you would want to be in your life forever. Very huggable and kissable. Good with kids, and is very respectful. Just wonderful in every possible way.
Jay: A Jay is a gorgoeus man, truly loved by all for his wit and winning sense of humour. Hard-working and loyal any girl cannot fail to fall for his charms, songs and poetry.

If your with a Jay lucky you you've found your soulmate!

*Liking these alot better!!

Kyler Jerry:
Kyler: a one of a kind pain in the butt and one who is never afraid to go above and beyond what is expected of them. A regular Robin Hood putting others before themselves. People are drawn to these guys like flies, as everyone is mesmorized by their unique personalities and ability to make you smile with just a look. Often a wiseguy cracking jokes only they think are funny!!!
Jerry: An amazing guy that is sweet, funny, caring. Has the most amazing laugh and voice ever. Someone who you would want to be in your life forever. Very huggable and kissable. Good with kids, and is very respectful. Just wonderful in every possible way.

Xander Stephen:
Xander: is the kind that has a lot of emotion. Xander is kind and sweet to the people he loves. Xander is in touch with things that seem to be hidden to other people. He's most admired for bravery and emotional strength. Xander has hidden powers that no one can come to understand.
Stephen: Has stunning eyes, that make your heart fall through the floor when they crinkle with his perfect smile. Is deep, unlike most boys, and extremely intelligent. Has a big heart, and he doesn't realize when he's being taken for granted. Even though he would never admit it, he sometimes's can't see what's right in front of him. An over-analyzer, and very stubborn, but he will admit defeat when he has to. Likes to drive girls crazy, apparently. Easy to fall in love with. Hard to figure out.

As you can probably guess I had even bigger laughs at these ones and the other definitions on the site!

Smiles From Xander!

We are starting to get alot of smiles out of our little cutie! And they are real ones not the gas ones!! It makes my heart melt when ever he does smile.
He is starting to notice things and be able to see everything. He already loves to play peek-a-boo, which is something Kyler does with him often. Its so cute to see them start playing together!
He, to me, is starting to get chunky! Even though his shorts are still to big around his waist. I decided to weigh him the other day, and thinking he may weigh around 10 pounds. Of course he is bigger than that, at a whooping 12.5 pounds! He is growing just like Kyler did. We go for his 2 month check up next week so we will be checking his height and weight there....I can't believe he is already that old!
Recently I had seen a few people comment on this song...and I like them all cried like a baby!! My biggest fear is losing one of my boys. I just couldn't imagine going through it. I am so grateful to have them! I just love them so so so Much!!

Haircut

So in the past 3 1/2 years we have been married I have tried numerous times to cut JJ's hair and ever time I screw it up...making him almost bald usually. His hair was driving me crazy this past week because it was so long and since my mom has been super busy I decided I would try and do it again! Thankfully I was able to get it right this time:) Its pretty short but he at least still has hair!
