Kyler Post...Again

Two days ago Kyler turned 8 months. I cant believe its been that long since I had him, I keep thinking in only 4 months he'll be a year old and thats just weird. We are dealing with a lot of ear infections lately, he's had 3 with in 2 months. Luckily this last one wasn't as bad. I love it when I doesn't have them because he is so vocal. He'll just sit and talk to everything insight, and laughs constantly. I love to him him giggle and laugh it just makes my day. We were able to get his measurements because we had to take him to the doctors over his ears, and sure enough he's grown. He's about 22 pounds and 30 1/4 inches. Such a big stinker!! He is stating to scoot around a bit, and rolls around constantly. He still loves his jumperoo, he even fell asleep in it today. Now that he is sitting up thats how he wants to be. He'll lay down so he can roll around but thats about it. He likes to walk around when you hold him by his hands too. We'll walk the whole bottom floor of our apartment, and he just loves to see everything. It sometimes seems like he has happy feet. He can now pretty much eat everything!! Our doctor had us wait till 8 months before giving him wheat, dairy, and eggs. Still can't have milk till around 10-11 months though. ( can't wait for that mom is getting sick of formula!!) Its so cute because if your eating in front of him he won't say anything he such sucks or smacks his lips till you give him some. We have found that he loves pickles, gets that from daddy!! He is still a big fan of bananas, and squash. As far as drinks, I've been nervous to give him much because my mom told me I drank apple juice like crazy and my teeth were rotten because of it. I do give him little bits of drinks though, and loves most of them including lemonade. He still gets the sour look on his face, but he loves it. We are very excited for Christmas because he is getting bored with all his toys, so its getting hard to entertain him. JJ's sister Jenny brought him some gifts tonight, and he tore the paper right off, and wouldn't let go of the puffs she got him, and then started sucking on the sippy cups before we could put anything in them!! I can't wait to see him Christmas morning with everything. Here are some pictures I've taken turing the past month.

Everything and Anything

So as I said in the last post we moved. We are in Garland, over by the old sugar factory, in some apartments. One of my really good friends lives here and was what got us interested in them. We absolutely love them. I don't have any pictures yet, we've been busy unpacking and getting ready for Christmas. Its so nice because Kyler has his own room. I didn't really mind him in our room, but I did mind all of the stuff he has in there. Especially with Christmas coming I am very happy we were able to move. I also said in the post below how we got a washer and dryer on Black Friday. Its so nice to have one in our own place instead of lugging it all to my moms. I can't express how much I'm in love with it, and especially where we got in for 54% off the regular price!! I feel like I have been having Christmas all month!! First with the washer and dryer, then JJ let me hang up the beautiful Logan Temple picture he got me for Christmas, see picture below. We got it a few months ago in Sam's Club. Its absolutely gorgeous, and huge!! We also decided to switch phone services and got really nice phones. We were able to keep our same numbers too. And if thats not enough, we just ordered a new tv stand. Its much needed for when Kyler starts climbing up things. The one we have now is very wiggly, and I can see it falling over on him. We also will hopefully be getting a table at the beginning of the year thanks to some of the Christmas money we got, and have some smaller gifts under the tree. I'm not try to brag by any means!! Its just I'm so grateful to my husband for all of it. He has been working 7 days a week on graveyard shift for almost two months. This has been the first week since he started fulltime he has had days off. And he is still a fulltime student!! I just think he is sure amazing, to do everything he does for us.
Now for a little bit on Kyler, he is getting so big. He will be 8 months this next week. I'm going to leave most of what I have to say till i post his 8 month one, but i have to tell a cute story about him today. When he was just little he loved to be on his belly. At about 3-4months he started hate it, would not be on it for anything and would just start to cry if you laid him on it. He started to roll about a month ago and has been getting use to it since. So today, I gave him a bottle an he ate most of it, I went into the kitchen to start a project I was doing. I hear him start jabbering, so I look in the front room and he rolled over onto his belly and was trying to eat out of his bottle that way. When he couldn't get anything out of the nipple he tried to suck on the bottom of it. When that did work he looked at me like, "Why won't it work?" I went over and put him back on his back, but he kept rolling over and trying to eat. I thought it was pretty darn cute.
I'm going to kinda get defensive in this next paragraph. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and they started getting snotty over Kyler. The main thing being he's not doing things her baby (which is younger) is doing, such as crawling, climbing and a few other things. With his development progress he has been a little slower to do things. But he also as grown like no other, or very few. He had grown pretty much 10 inches in six months. Alot of that being between 3-5months. It took him awhile to hold up his head on his own, I remember that worried me because everyone else's babies around his age were, also he didn't sit up as soon as others did. So I asked my doctor about it, and he told me where he has grown so much and so fast his muscles weren't being able to catch up. So they weren't as strong as other babies. From 6-7 months he pretty much stayed the same only a little growth and in that month you could tell his muscles were getting stronger and even more so now. He is sitting up really well now, and will scoot around alittle or just roll till he gets where he wants to. It made me mad when this friend of mine got all snooty to me like something was wrong with Kyler. Nothing is wrong with him, he's just a big kid!!
Any who, I'm so excited for Christmas!! I know Kyler won't even remember it, or what he gets, but I will;) I'm so excited for him and to see what he does that morning! Some people (my mom) has said we are spoiling him, but so is she!! We decided on an amount of money we were going to spend and I'm very proud to say we have stuck to it. Not only that, but all the things we got for that money. I actually got half of it back in October from Kmart.com. Their prices then were even better than any black friday or sales prices I've seen since then. (Mentally note to self to look there every year at that time). The other half I have been able to get for very good prices too. I love being able to get things for great deals!!
On another note, since I've already written an novel. The project I talk about earlier is a tissue paper tree. I saw it on a few blogs, and thought they were so cute and made such cute decorations. Mine probably didn't turn out as cute but I still like it! (Picture below) I also made a couple changes to my Christmas tree. JJ tells me how it reminds him of Hoo Ville and Doctor Seuss. I love it and think its so cute. Its actually alot cutier in person than in the pictures.
Sorry this is so long!

Finally!!

So we were finally able to move after some set backs, from not be able to move to the first place we were looking at. But I'm so happy we moved where we did. On Black Friday we were also able to get a washer and dryer! I absolutely love it, it makes things so much easier. Its also very nice to have a dish washer!! We just love it here. JJ got out of the shower the other day and said, "Wow we were roughing it. We actually have water pressure, the water just doesn't drizzle over you. Plus we can wash our clothes and dish at the same time we're watching tv. And Kyler has his own room, so all his toys aren't over the house. How did we stand it?" I sure love him. I don't necessarily think we were roughing it, we just didn't have all the luxuries we do now. And it makes me more thankful to have the thing most people live everyday with. We still are getting things organized and put away, I think we'll be done tomorrow!! Since we moved I wasn't able to put up our Christmas decorations as soon as I would have liked to, but tonight I finally broke down and did it.

Pictures from Thanksgiving

Here are some pictures of Kyler on Thanksgiving. We had a great day. We started off at my aunts house she had made such a great dinner. Thanks aunt Wendy!! We then went to JJ's parents to finish the day off. His aunt and uncle and some cousins came up and it was so good to see them. We also skyped with his grandparents out in California. It was Kylers first Thanksgiving dinner and he loved it. Any time you eat something he wants some and will open his mouth till he gets some, its so cute. He loves turkey!! And couldn't get enough of that and apple salad. He has two teeth that are through the gums and wants to bite on everything. I'm so grateful for my little family and for everything else I have. Here are the Pictures...

In His Constant Care

So today I was over in Seagull Book and I saw this picture...
It about made me cry in the store. I absolutely love it. This past week I have really thought about how blessed I am to be a mom, and have such a sweet little boy. The title of the picture is "In His Constant Care". And I know my baby is. I have been very blessed with not having to face any serious illnesses or life threatening situations with Kyler thus far, and I'm so thankful to my Savior everyday for it. I'm also very grateful he sent me Kyler, he brightens my day and makes me smile all the time. And I know my Savior will be looking after him his whole life. It makes me cry to think just a little over 7 months ago my sweet baby was in the presence of our Savior and Heavenly Father, and that they trusted me enough to give him to me. I guess the reason this touches me so much is because I've heard of so many people having miscarriages or the deaths of kids, and it makes me so thankful to have Kyler here in my arms. We always hear that each of us are put here for a reason, and it makes me wonder what his is. I also know those who have past on early on in life have a great purpose to full fill on the other side. So if it ever comes to that I know my Savior needs him for a better reason. Even though I would be heart broken. I love my little Kyler so much, and sure hope I can be a good mother to him. Since having him I feel the Spirit in our house all the time and I know its because of him. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life as well. To know about where we came from and to know where we end up. And to have all the great examples of the people who have lived before us. Last week in primary we sang Book of Mormon Stories, and I did the actions with Kyler and he just giggled. So at least once a day since then we have sang it, and he always giggles and smiles. Its songs like that, that I remember helping me start building a testimony, because then I'd want to hear and read the stories in the Scriptures. And its something I'm looking forward doing with my kids. I can't express enough how grateful I am to have everything I have and for everything the Savior has given me. There was a sign in Seagull Book as well that said, "What we are is God's gift to us, What we become is Our gift to God.'' He has given me so much and has done so much for me, I hope I can become something he will be proud of. I try to strive for that daily. I'm so thankful for the Husband I have, he especially makes it easier to go in the right direction. I know its corny but He does make me a better person. Not only am I grateful to him for that, but the fact he works so hard for our little family. He works full-time, plus over-time, and is a full-time student with no complaining and still finds time to spend with me and our baby. I love him so much!! Kyler is my world right now, I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is so much fun. I also feel very lucky because he is such a happy baby. He has two teeth now and hasn't been cranky at all. I feel very spoiled to have had such a good baby. And one that makes me feel closer to my Savior every time I look at him. I love him so much. And am very very grateful to have him.
