SiX mOnThS & nInE wEeKs

So we have been married for 6 months as of Sunday! It sure doesn't seem like that long ago. We have decided since we kept our top layer of cake we are probably going to dig into that at some point soon. I don't think it'll stay good till March. We honestly didn't even realize until today it had been 6 months. But it sure has been a great 6 months, and hopefully the next 6 will be just as great!

I also am 9 weeks along. Even though I'm having more of the signs that I'm 10 but oh well. In the book I have it says that week 9 is usually the worst as far as the nausea goes. And that would explain last week. I didn't have one day where I wasn't sick, and I even threw up on Wednesday and that wasn't fun at all. i have been so happy because I haven't been sick hardly at all today.

Yay! Nine weeks and no bump:)

So we decided that we wanted to get a rocker/glider chair so we could rock the baby once it gets here. Well a few weeks ago we were in Shopko and JJ fell into one there, and fell in love with it!! So last week we were going through the adds and saw it on sale for $90. So we went down and they didn't have it in stock, but we got a raincheck for it. I had never realized how much we were saving on it till we went to get it yesterday. It is regularly $240 we saved $150 on it, I was so thankful we had gotten the raincheck. Here is what it looks like! And it is the most comfortable thing I have ever sat in.

Also here is my tummy at the true 8 week mark I guess. Time seems to be going so slow for me...and then I look at other people and it seems the weeks are flying by. Oh well I guess, one day I'm probably going to wish time moved slower.

We also went over to Logan yesterday, and I went into Micheal's to price somethings, and to get a certain cake pan for JJ's birthday, and I found the cutest transfer for a T-shirt. So I got it and once I start feeling it move and kick I'll wear it;)

DoCtOr'S aPpOiNtMeNt

So friday I had my first OB visit. I got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat!! It was so awesome. I think thats when it hit me I actually have something growing inside me. Everything looks well and the baby is healthy so far. My doctor said once you see the heart beat there's only a 2% chance of miscarriage. I sure hope and pray thats true and that I'm not part of that 2%. To my dismay, the baby only measured as being 7 weeks and 4 days. Putting me a week and a half behind where I thought I was. I however still believe I'm further along just because of dates. But we will see in three weeks when I go in again, how long it measures and if I'm still behind then I'll believe it. They gave me a due date of either April 22nd, or May 4th (first one according to dates, the other by measurements). Here is the best ultrasound picture of the 3 we got. This one is still blurry and you can just see the grey blog. But in the actual picture, and if you have the eye to look at ultrasound pics, you can see the face of our baby!!
Isn't it the cutest little thing?? ;)

ReFleCtIoNs

So today has been a day of reflection for me. It was a year ago today JJ and I started dating. And just realizing how much as changed and everything that has happened seems so crazy. I can honestly say a year ago I wouldn't have ever thought I would be married and having a baby!! Its so weird to look back on the things that have happened and realize how much life has changed in 12 short months. It seems like such a long time and then not. I am so grateful that this year has been the way it has. You might not think you are ready for things, but the Lord sometimes shows us we actually are. I remember when JJ and I first got talking about where things were going to go for us and praying to see if it was right, and the emotions that ran through me and the time. I couldn't ask for a better person to spend all eternity with!! You hear woman all the time saying how great and wonderful there boyfriends or husbands are, and I'm sure they are, but JJ is such the right fit and the right guy for me.
Everyone has always told me how the first year is always the hardest, I know we are only half way through it, but it honestly hasn't been hard!! And in all honesty we really haven't fought at all, unless we're kidding around. Yes there has been things we want to change and things we have asked the other one not to do, but that's just living with someone.

I am so happy to be having a baby also. Its so amazing how is so small and yet how much you can love it! JJ is always rubs my tummy, and makes sure he tells me and the baby how much he loves us before we go to bed. He is going to be such a great dad!! He knows when I'm not feeling well and won't leave my side until I do feel better. He's always wanting to do things for me and puts up with so much and I'm so grateful for that! I have my first OB appointment tomorrow, and we were kinda let down because they told us JJ could come in with me because of their H1N1 precautions. But he is still going to drive me down and wait in the lobby for me. I'm hoping for an ultrasound, but I guess we'll see.

Ok so here is my eight week picture!! Still not much different than the other two:) And I'm glad! According to the one website I read, its only about the size of a large raspberry. And something fun, my aunt told be to get on and go to the chinesse baby calendar and it predicts what you are having. She said it was right with all of her kids, it does say it has been proven 90% accurate lol. But anyways when I got on it said we were having a boy! So I guess we will see in a few weeks. I do feel like we are having a boy though, but if it turns out to be a girl I'd be thrilled too:)

Ok so to start off with it has been one crazy month. First with the news of the baby, grandmas knee replacement, sisters visiting from cali. amongst other things! So in this post I don't wanna talk to much about my pregnancy. I think I've been alittle over board lately. There will be an eight weeks picture coming soon, I just haven't wanted to take a picture yet.
So alittle over 2 weeks ago my grandma had her knee replaced. We were very grateful that she got to have it since it had been killing her for over a year now. She's recovering now, and doing pretty well. The swelling and brusing has went away alot, even though she'll deal with the swelling for over a year. However, she did some how overdose on VitaminD. She's been staying with my aunt, and they though she was suppose to take her VitaminD shot everyday, when it was suppose to be ever week. It didn't do to much to effect her it just intensifys the pain. She is getting along very well though, and will probably be home in a couple of weeks.
JJ's sisters that live out in California came out this week to visit. Debbie is having a baby in January, so we had a shower for her this weekend. It was alot of fun, and we played some really fun games. She is having a little girl and is planning on naming it Madeline Kate (not sure on the spelling) We were so happy they came out and that we got to see and spend time with them!!
I also had the first YW volleyball game this past week. It sure has been a fun experience! We won our game, which was a shock for me since I hadn't held a practice yet. The girls did a really good job, and I enjoyed watching them!!
And I have to write about my little brothers football game this weekend! So in his age group there are two BR teams, and they played each other. Well the other team give his team crap all the time. Fridays at school they were saying how no one who wasn't a "white jersey" could sit with them at lunch, and how they were going to kill them in the game. And talk about an intense game!! Our team ended up winning 14-12, so now they have the bragging rights. YAY!! I know most of you won't care about this, but with the history with these two teams it was exciting for those involved:)
Anyways it seems time is just flying by with everything going on lately. And then at times not so fast but I think thats just the pregnancy talking!! We are just so thankful for everything in our life right now, and the experiences we have. The Lord has blessed us so much, and I don't know what we would do without the gospel in our lives!
