Holy Smokes

So I guess after 2 1/2 months I should update this thing!!
Lets start off with our little stud!
He is now 3 1/2 months
I can't believe how time is flying by
and how fast he is growing.
He is now 27 inches and above 95 percentile
He weighs 15 pounds and in the 75 percentile
He's grown 6.5 inches and more than doubled his birth weight.
probably due to the fact he eats 7oz. every three hours!!
He sure has a hearty appetite
We were up in park city last Friday and one lady
thought he was 5 months old
with how alert and big he is.
He is smiling alot and jabbers all the time.
I just love him!
He has been a great baby.

So here are some of the thing that have happened since I last post.

My brother Colton left on his mission.
He is now in Honduras, we got to talk to him on Wednesday
He is doing great and is excited to start teaching.

We blessed Kyler in June.
We had quite the turn out, there was 23 people in his circle.
I started to laugh when all the men stood up
I hadn't realized how many people
were there to support us.
We had a luncheon after and had about 80 people to that
It was a really nice day,
and we want to thank everyone who came!!

Also there was Fathers day
which was J.J.'s first we really didn't do much
but he liked it were he works graveyards.

We had alot of fun the weekend of the 4th of July
on Saturday we went up to Malad
and took Kyler to the parade, he did really well considering all the sirens
We came home that night and watched fireworks with J.J.'s family
And Kyler loved them!!
On the forth we mostly just relaxed.

Other than that there hasn't been much going on.
J.J. is trying to find work full time where he's just a temp right now.
We are considering relocating if he gets one out of town.
I wish we just knew what was going to happen.
Our little house seems to get smaller and smaller by the day.
But we are just enjoying watching our baby grow for now.
Here are some pictures.

Wow...Time is flying right on by!! And Kyler is growing so fast at his 2 weeks check up he was 7lbs. 13 oz. and 23 1/4 inches. It has been 2 more weeks since then and he is filling up his 0-3month sleep'n'plays length wise. He is such a handsome little thing and so sweet. It has been so fun to watch him start to notice things, he loves to look at windows. He has been such a good baby too. He usually sleep anywhere from 3-5 hours and only wakes up when he is hungry, but once he does you better have a bottle ready or be ready to hear so screams!
Now for the rest of the news. 2 Sundays ago I started to have really bad pain in my back and side, and I would throw up anything I ate. By Wednesday I could the pain was so bad I could barely move and I still wouldn't be able to get comfortable. I had an ultrasound that morning and they found I had gallstones. McKaydee made me a appointment with a surgeon for the next Tuesday. Well I woke up from the 2 hours of sleep I got, in so much pain and throwing up green. It was bad. I called Mckay and they told me they couldn't get me in till Monday or to go to the emergency. My mom luckily called the doctor that she went to for her gallbladder and he got me right in. I got over to Logan and the doctor checked me out and sent me right to the hospital. They gave me some morphine and it was wonderful! I was still throwing up though. They came and got me and took me to the OR, and put me out. I then woke up and there was a little pain but not nearly as much! When the doctor came in he told me my gallbladder was gain-green and rotten. He told me I would have been very lucky to have waited and still be alive, it was so bad. He also told me I had probably been dealing with it my whole pregnancy and even before that, and that I was lucky my baby was so healthy. I started to cry when he told me that. I have been so blessed Kyler is so healthy especially were I had that infection in me! I'm so thankful to my heavenly father for blessing me that way. I love my little guy so much!! It has been a week since my surgery and I am healing well. I get tired so fast though.
Sunday was my first Mothers Day!! I still can't believe I'm a mom. I got a new shirt that had "New Mom 2010", some roses, and pictures of my little guy. We spent most the day at JJ's parents house and had some yummy BBQ chicken.
Wednesday was my Birthday also! The big 21!! Not much happened this year were I've had 2 surgeries in 3 weeks and a new baby. I had a doctors appointment with my surgeon to make sure things were going ok and they are! I am also back to my first baby doctor appointment weight, that was a nice present that day:) We then did a little shopping and came home so JJ could have some time with Kyler before he went to work. Once JJ left for work, My mom and us went to Syracuse to my aunts house. My moms Uncle came out from Reno and we got to meet him. It was really nice to get out of the house that day. JJ also had got me a very delicious ice-cream cake that we enjoyed!!
Now I'm gonna show off my sweet little boy:)
He loves sticking his tongue out
Showing off his muscles

Here are some of Kyler's newborn pictures, not all of these are edited but I couldn't wait to put them up!! He is now 2 weeks!! We went to the doctor yesterday and he has gained 13 ounces and grown 2 1/2 inches since last Tuesday. He is pretty much out of his newborn clothing, but the 0-3 months are big on him, so his in limbo for right now. His mommy already thinks he is getting to big and growing too fast. He has been such a good baby, and a very alert one. We love him so much and are so glad he is here and healthy!!

Kyler Jerry Harris
April 16th, 2010
10:14a.m.
7lbs. 5oz.
20.5 inches
and the most adorable thing ever
(yes his mommy is bias)
We started our day bright and early being at the hospital at 6:00a.m. We got to L&D and they got us all checked in and but in alittle room. They gave us a bunch of paper work to feel out while they started my IV's and monitors. Once we got the paper work done we just sat and watched tv. My mom got there around 8:30 and they let her come back to say Hi an wish us luck. The nurse came in and told us the doctor was running late. I was already so antsy I just wanted it to be over with so I could have my sweet boy here. But we waited and waited for what seemed like forever, when really it was only 2 hours. They walked me back into the OR and had me sit on the bed. They then had me bend over so they could place my epidural, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I then got to lay back and just relax. I was soon numb and couldn't really feel anything and they started the surgery. I was so excited and couldn't stop smiling. From where JJ was at he thought I was crying and started asking me if I was in pain and I said no that I was fine but so excited. I noticed his eyes were filled with tears which then made me start crying. Then my heart sank because the doctor goes, "Is the cord wrapped around his neck?" I guess my blood pressure shot up because the machine started beeping and the doctor looked at me and said,"He's ok, its common for the cord to be around their neck once." I relaxed and within seconds heard my little boy start to cry. They lifted him over the curtain so we could see him and we were both are eyes were glued on him. They rushed him off to clean him and get his stats. Soon JJ brought him back in and sat by me so I could see our cute little boy, while they finished sewing me up. I was then taken into recovery and they took Kyler in to be bathed and warm up a little more. They brought him into me while in recovery and I got to hold him for the first time. My mom, grandma, and aunt got to come back and see us. I was finally stable enough to go to a room, when we got there we were welcomed by my whole family, JJ's mom and two sisters. They all took turns holding him, and then gave us sometime with him. My parents came and went all through out the day, that afternoon we were visited by my Uncle Lamonte, Grandma A. Aunt Michelle, and my friend Donna. We then got to take a little nap before the next crowd of people came. JJ's dad and sister, my Uncle Steve, and my friend Ashlee. We were so grateful to everyone who came and saw us and welcomed our sweet boy! We then spent the rest of the night sleeping and loving on our beautiful sweet boy!

ChAnGe Of PlAnS

So we go to the doctor yesterday, and everything is going as normal. She checks me, and don't ask me how, but last week I was dilated almost to a 2 and this week I wasn't at all. I have also been really curious about dilating and if family history has anything to do with it. I asked her about it and she said she has seen cases where the mom only had 1 C-section but then all her daughters had to have C-sections but there were also those whose daughters didn't have to. With my mom and I think all her sisters they didn't ever dilate past a one, and had to have C-sections with all their pregnancies. She also works in the same office as the doctor that my mom and my aunt went to, so he came in and talk with us too. They said with the risk of being induced were actually more dangerous for me than the C-section and the other doctor said he would bet I'd end up having a C-section anyways with how big his head is. So we decided to go with that. Its not the most exciting news, but its not the worst either. I kinda knew this news was coming, so I'm ok with it. We are planned to have him next friday the 16th at 9:00a.m. And I'm not complaining either were he's coming a week early YAY!!
So here is my picture for 37/38weeks. I'm going to try and get one more it'll just depend on how I'm feeling and if I have time. Don't ask me why I'm making the face I am!

FiRsT yEaR dOwN!

When we put the top of our wedding cake in the freezer (to be enjoyed on our first anniversary) we had a vague idea of what married life would be like. We had no idea on what this year would bring us, but can truly say we are happy for what it has. We have learned to lean on each other through the more difficult times, and that we don't always have to be right. To us we haven't had to difficult of a year, of course there are times when we feel like it has been but looking at the whole picture we have really realized how blessed we have been. We have always heard the first year is the hardest, of course we don't know how the rest will go, but we think we will probably have harder times. Looking back to our wedding day we see how we have grown even more in love, and how we have came even more as one than two. On that day neither of us thought we would be expecting a baby a year later, we were thinking more of starting to "try" at this time. Things don't always go the way you plan though. So here in a few short weeks we will begin a new fun adventure. One we think will even make us happier and make us realize, even more so, how blessed we are to have each other. We couldn't be more thankful for the Temple, and for having the blessings it gives us. Because of it we will be together for all Eternity with our family. So a year ago when we put that cake in the freezer we had no idea! But now that all of it is gone with only crumbs left we have a little better idea of how things will be.

WhAt An ExCiTiNg WeEk

So we have has quite the week!! I had a doctors appointment Monday and all looks well, still dilate to a one. I go back again Monday, I start going weekly now. So then Tuesday I had a dentist appointment and found out I need a root-canal Great!! So Tuesday night comes and we get ready for bed, I was asleep for about 2 hours and woke up in horrible pain. My back and upper abdomen killed. I knew it wasn't contractions because it wasn't tightening and loosening at all. I was up for about two hours when I realized I hadn't felt the baby move, that's when I started to panic. I called the hospital and they told me to come in just to be safe. so my dear husband and 3 o'clock in the morning drove me to Ogden. The pain was still bad on the way there, J.J. made me take some Tylenol before we left. When we got there they set me up on a test thing to hear the babies heartbeat and see if I was having contractions. Sure enough baby was fine and I wasn't contracting. And soon after we got there the pain went away. I felt so dumb!! But the nurses were way nice and said its better to be safe than sorry. So that was one of the big things this week.
So J.J. had an interview last week with SOS for Autoliv. He had orientation on Tuesday, after which they told him he would have to call daily to see if they had positions open. So he's called the past few days and no such luck. Well today he got a call back and he starts Monday at the one here in Tremonton working Graves. I'm not thrilled about the graveyard part but I am very happy he has a different job. We've been waiting a year for it!! It is temp-to-hire so nothing is for sure yet but we are still thrilled about it.
Also we are in the 36 week of the pregnancy!! Almost full term and really wanting baby to come!
We are just waiting for his bottles to get here and then we will have everything we need for him. Here are the pictures for the week.
