Happy 50th Anniversary to Grandma & Grandpa Abplanalp

The 20th was my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary!! That's quite an accomplishment these days. The family had a party for them up in Mt. Green and it was a lot of fun! They had a dj that played 50's and 60's music, an ice cream bar, and then places to look at pictures from their reception. It was fun to hear all the stories about their wedding day, a lot of them I had never heard. Kyler had a blast dancing to the music and just running around! I didn't take my camera but my aunt was taking pictures and these were some I got from her.

Grandma still fits in her dress 50 years later!!!

Playing with Dad!

Today was such a fun day just playing outside with my boys:) I don't have alot of pictures of JJ and Kyler playing together and today I was lucky enough to get some! Also a couple weeks before Kyler's birthday we had found a climber/slide, cabin, and play grill in a bundle online for super cheap! We decided to get it for him and he was playing in-on them in some of the pictures in the last post. He loves the climber because of the basketball hoop on the side of it and also that he can climb up the rock wall part or the slide and slide back down. It was all he wanted to do with JJ today! He also likes to play in the cabin. It has a place to hammer nails and a little stove area and then you can use the screw driver to to fix the fence part. He is starting to play pretend and will pretend to eat the burger or hotdog on the grill, its so cute to watch him play! Needless to say there will be lots of days outside for us this spring/summer:) He was also able to play in his Truck today to, we've had it inside since Christmas but have finally moved it outside. We also got the bubbles out, Kyler doesn't really understand to try and pop them he just likes to watch them float away and run through them. It was so fun to see him play with JJ and how excited and happy he was, it just made my day!

2 Year Old Kyler!

Stats:
36.1 Inches (around 95 percentile)
36 Pounds 5 Ounces (off the charts but not considered obese!)

-He is very very active and constantly running around! He now walks up and down the stairs and is a pro at doing so. He loves to climb on whatever he can find. He is constantly dancing too!
-He is all boy and loves to throw balls and play basketball! He is getting a pretty good arm on him and can stand back aways and make a basket.
-He is a great sleeper and sleeps from about 9:30p.m. to 8:30 a.m. and will usually take at least an hour nap sometime between 1 and 3.
-He still eats pretty much everything! I was a proud mom the other day we went out to eat with my family and ordered him a grilled cheese with fries, well our food came with steamed veggies and he spit out his fry and kept grabbing for the veggies. He loves fruits and veggies and prefers them over anything, but he does like his sweets to!
-He would rather play than watch t.v. but has a few favorite shows including, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Little Einsteins, and Sesame Street.
-His favorite movies are Rio, Finding Nemo, and Madagascar.
-He loves to play and play and play! His favorite toys are Blocks, Musical Set, Mickey Mouses in any form, Grill, Slides, Cabin, Tool Set, Water table, Trucks, and his new favorites his Scooter and he is really trying to figure out his big boy bike!
-His favorite activities are coloring, playing with stamps, playdough, and writing with chalk!
-Favorite stories are 3 Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Easter, and any of his board books he looks at through out the day!
-He is saying a few little words, ones he uses the most are no-no or No! Otto, Ouch and some. He is trying really hard to say "See you later." "Where'd it go?" "All gone." and "Night Night." they just aren't very clear yet. But we are very excited he is starting to say things!!
-He is now tall enough to reach the light switch and likes to switch the lights on and off through out the day.
-He has the funniest run! It makes me laugh every time he does it!
-He is pretty obedient, and will stop doing things when we tell him to, unless he's in his "terrible 2" mood!
-He is very particular about how things should be. He can't stand if something is out of place like one of his toys, and he doesn't like to have grass or anything sticky on his hands! The exception to this is his clothes, he will not leave them in his dresser and as soon as we get them put away he is throwing them right back out!
-He loves Bath time and would stay in the tub all day if we let him. He waves bye-bye to the water when we drain it. And he loves to brush his teeth and tries to brush his hair by himself too.
-He loves to be outside even if its freezing! He is good about walking out to the car and into the house when we go places and will walk into stores too. He prefers to sit in the back of the carts now and to get "buried" by all the grocery's or whatever we get.
-He knows where Baby Brother is and will come and rub my belly all the time at home, not so much when we are out. He loves babies on boxes too and will give them kisses.
-He is a big flirt and will flirt with cashiers or other little girls in the stores.
-He loves to flip coins with his uncles and get them to spin! This is his favorite thing to do when we go to grandma and grandpa's house. He also knows grandma will have some sort of treat for him in her purse and will find it and snoop to see whats in there.

I'm sure there is lots more I could think of to write down but I'll stop with what I've jotted down so far:)
Here are some pictures of him playing with his new toys yesterday!

Coloring/Eating/Watching TV on his little Desk
Playing outside in his Cabin...more to come on that later!

 Playing on his climber/slide.

On his Scooter for the first time!

Playing with his instruments, mostly his drum.

 Reading his new board books!

Playing with his Rock Star Mickey...he doesn't like it when he does the splits, I was trying to get him to dance but he knew he was being recorded!
Out on his Scooter..it was shot with my phone so you can't hear much if any sound on it.

Kyler's 2!

The 16th was Kyler's second birthday!! I still can't believe my boy is 2 years old already! The day didn't go nearly as planned since I woke up with the flu. He was so excited all day though and was just so happy to play with all his new toys. JJ was kind and stayed home from work so I just got to lay around all day and take pictures:) Kyler got lots of Mickey Mouse things and even got a Gretting from Mickey himself!! Here are some pictures of the day....

Even though we stayed home all day I think he had a fun day! Its so crazy to think its been two years since we welcomed him into our little family! It has been the best years of our lives and he makes it so complete...its weird to think how things will change and how those feeling will come with our second little guy joining us in just a few short months and that Kyler will be a big brother, but i know he will be a great one! I will post more on his favorites and things I want to remember about him at this age after we go to the doctor tomorrow and get his stats, and will hopefully have some pictures of him playing with his toys:)

Again I'm going to post what he got so we can remember later on.
